Last night, we watched the season four premiere of Bravo’s The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, and if you believe all the drama you see on the show, maybe you shouldn’t. At least according to Phaedra Parks, Reality Television is not all it’s cracked up to be, and the star says it is not as “real” as you may think. Read on for more…
The Real Housewives of Atlanta are not afraid to speak their minds, and in a recent radio interview, lawyer Phaedra Parks revealed that we shouldn’t believe everything we see on the show. Phaedra recently told an Atlanta radio host: “At the end of the day, when people watch the show, they realize it’s for entertainment. Once filming is on the editing table, it might look like something else. That’s part of reality TV. Everything on reality TV isn’t as real as you think it is. I try to live without regrets.”
Phaedra Parks says that she doesn’t mind the editing, which sometimes makes her out to be someone she is not, adding: “It doesn’t matter who you are. Whatever your character is, is what they make it to be. It’s not who I am, but who the producers think I am.” Phaedra also feels that her fans know better, claiming: “The TV show hasn’t changed people’s thoughts about me. It makes me recognizable … My law firm gets all the referrals we need and more.”
What do you think of Phaedra Parks’ comments? Do you think she is painted differently on the show than what she is in real life? Sound off below by sharing your comments with us!
