Dancing With The Stars Results Recap: Who Made It To The Semi-Finals?

November 08, 2011 08:18 PM by Megan Thompson

There were some perfect performances last night on Dancing With The Stars, but someone must leave the hit ABC show tonight! Did your favorite star dance their way into the semi-finals? Keep reading for all the DWTS results!

It’s time to kick off the show with the women pros and troop dancing to, I Am Woman.  The girls perform a sexy number and the crowd goes wild!

Now it’s a review of three couple’s from last night.  Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke received high remarks and marks from the judges last night.  Len told Rob, “your best dance so far.”  Next up are Maks Chmerkovskiy and Hope Solo, who received three nines for their first dance.  Hope shared they are finally where they want to be after eight weeks of dancing. Then there is J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff who wowed the judges and received the first perfect scores of the season.  The three couples take the stage awaiting the results.  Tom announces that, J.R. and Karina are the first team to make it to the semi-finals.  As for Hope and Maks, Brooke confirms they will be dancing next week as well.  That leaves Robb and Cheryl standing on the stage.  Tom sadly tells Robb and Cheryl that they are in jeopardy of leaving tonight.

Mr. Andrea Bocelli is the first special guest performing on DWTS tonight.  Andrea Bocelli performs a song from his new album, Concerto One Night In Central Park.  The DWTS dance troop performs a classic dance with top hats and canes.

Now from Andrea Bocelli it’s onto the Macy’s Stars of Dance Performance.  Tonight it’s all about Michael Jackson!  It’s a peek at the new cirque du soleil, performed to all of Michael Jackson’s hits.  This cirque du soleil, Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour, is amazing!

The musical performances continue, when Flo Rida hits the stage.  Only DWTS can pull off having Andrea Bocelli and Flo Rida perform on the same night.  Flo Rida performs his two hits, Club Can’t Handle Me and Good Feeling.

I almost forgot this was a results show, but now back to the dancing results.  Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus didn’t really perform up to the judges standards last night.  Len told Nancy, “it’s a Cinderella story, it’s midnight and it’s time to go home.”  Ouch!  Will the viewers save her?  We will have to wait and see.  Last night Ricki Lake and her partner Derek Hough, received high marks from the judges, but it wasn’t there best night.  Both couples take the stage and wait for the results to be read.  Tom announces that the next couple to dance in the semi-finals will be Ricki and Derek!  The two give each other a big hug.  As for Nancy and Tristan they learn they are in jeopardy of going home.

That means the two couples who are in jeopardy of leaving tonight are Rob and Cheryl and Nancy and Tristan.  The teams stand on the staircase and wait for the final results to be read.  Which team will have the final spot in the semi-finals?  Tom makes the announcement that Nancy and Tristan will be leaving the show tonight.

Nancy doesn’t seem too surprised, but she does look disappointed. Nancy tells Brooke, “I am so proud.  I really can’t take the credit. It’s been all Tristan from the beginning.” Tristan chimes in by saying, “we can’t be disappointed to make it this far. We told ourselves it’s not about being the best, it’s about trying our best”

It is about time! Nancy Grace should have left before now. The only reason she lasted so long, was CNN and Headline news continual promotion of her.

Finally. About time she goes home. I have been waiting for this to come. She should have never made it this far even. But she’s gone now. Now its gonna be hard to vote I like all the rest but especially rob and cheryl and ricki and derek. They’re the two I want to see in the finals.
