Rachel Crow’s Troubled Past Revealed

November 10, 2011 12:53 PM by Lisa Princ

Rachel Crow, the 13-year-old sensation on The X Factor, rocked the stage last night, leaving the judges in awe of her “mini Beyonce” performance. Despite her upbeat attitude, new reports have surfaced revealing Rachel’s troubled past. More after the jump…

The X Factor‘s Rachel Crow is so upbeat that it is hard to imagine she could come from a troubled home, but she has. Rachel Crow is actually adopted, and she was taken from a bad situation, her adoptive mother recently revealed. Barbara Crow told The New York Post: “She was born a crack baby and actually lived in a crack house and suffered a lot of abuse,” adding: “She came to us through Social Services. In situations like that, it is a little more dangerous, so they keep everything sealed. It is not like entering into a typical private adoption. This is where parental rights were terminated, and the child suffered a lot of abuse.”

Wow, who knew Rachel Crow had such a troubled past? Despite all of that, Rachel remains upbeat as her mom also said: “But she is totally unaffected by it. She never looks at her past in a sad way. She looks at it as that is what made her the person she is.” Rachel Crow won’t even acknowledge that she has birth parents, and she refers to her adoptive parents as her “real parents,” and she will shut you down if you try to tell her otherwise! Rachel Crow also says that if she wins the $5 million dollar prize, she will use some of that money to help other adoptive and foster children achieve their dreams.

Kudos to Rachel Crow for remaining upbeat and not letting the past get the best of her. We have a feeling Rachel will end up in the finale, so she may get her chance to use that prize money!

Be sure to tune in tonight to The X Factor on FOX to find out who will be sent packing!

This story is so stupid! She was 6 months old when she was adopted. As if she would remember any abuse? And you report like she had a horrible past and memories of it. You guys are idiots.

While I am very impressed with Rachel, her attitude and her talent she has no memory of her abusive past. Thank goodness! I read she was six months old when she was removed from the horrible conditions of her birth. A good friend of mine adopted a crack baby and nurtured him back to health just like Rachel’s adoptive parents did. He is also a talented, smart, creative teen-ager with no lingering side effects. Rachel’s adoptive parents obviously did a great job of raising and taking care of her. So why would she let the first six months of her life affect the rest of her life? I would say all in all she was one of the lucky ones.

Why would you guys refer to her as a crack baby? Politically correct term is drug addicted baby. I hope you the vultures in the media don’t make this child (a minor) out to be a negative image. I hate the media! You guys are the downfall of man kind!

How is that troubled? She doesn’t remember it. How about talking about the people who have actually ENDURED troubled pasts and stop trying to MAKE news out of just a regular everyday story. She was adopted early on by people who love and encourage her. How many kids do you care to exploit who actually NEED their story told? Sad!!!

If all of this is true then she deserves credit-BUT if this whole story is just some made up crap so that she can win this “show” and the 5 million then shame on all involved…

SERIOUSLY!!!! You people are so effed up. All these irresponsible, unethical media organizations keep writing stories about this sweet, talented character being “an abused crack baby”! Do any of you people give a thought to the fact that this girl might be embarrassed, and wouldn’t want the whole country knowing that? I know her adopted mother doesn’t mind exploiting her golden ticket, but you people should. How about writing a story about what an awesome talent she is? You guys are so unoriginal because I’ve seen the same story being circulated through every media outlet since the x factor started.

Your editor should be ashamed, and this writer should be replaced by someone who doesn’t go on the internet looking for a story to rip off. I could do a better job. Hire me. TOOLS!!!

Rachel is alright Because GOD is with her. And with GOD with not just her with anybody. Nothing can happen that GOD can’t fix. GOD can do anything but fail. That’s something to always remember.
