The X Factor was back tonight with the live results show after the viewers had their chance to vote. The show kicked off with the top eleven finalists performing Save The World, followed by L.A. Reid telling us that he thought some acts knocked it out of the park last night, while others dropped the ball. We then watched a rundown of the performances from last night. Willow Smith took the stage next with a performance of Fireball.
Jessie J took over The X Factor stage next with a performance of her latest hit, Domino. Donning blue hair, Jessie J then dished some advice for the contestants, telling them to always be true to who they are. Finally, Steve called the contestants out with their mentors for some results.
The nine acts with the highest number of votes, who would be moving on to next week were revealed to be: Stacy Francis, Astro, Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty, Leroy Bell, Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik, Drew, and Chris Rene. That meant that the remaining two of Paula’s acts – Lakoda Rayne and Stereo Hogzz had to sing for their lives, and the judges votes. The Stereo Hogzz suffered the same fate last week – could they pull it off for a second week in a row?
Up for their survival song was Lakoda Rayne, who chose to perform No Air by Jordin Sparks, while Stereo Hoggz took on You Are Not Alone by Michael Jackson. Both performances were good, but it seemed like the crowd really liked Stereo Hoggz, but would the judges agree? L.A. Reid was up first and saw that both groups struggled, but he chose to send Stereo Hogzz home. Nicole was up next and gushed about both groups, and she said that she was all about girl empowerment, and she was sending the Stereo Hoggz home.
Paula Abdul was up next and she started to tear up, refusing to vote. Paula then said she was going to abstain from voting, but then Steve reminded her that if she did, she was automatically sending the Stereo Hoggz home. After a discussion with Simon, Paul Abdul decided to send home Lakoda Rayne, leaving the fate in Simon’s hands – or the voters hands. Simon Cowell chose to send home Stereo Hoggz home, which meant that Lakoda Rayne was moving on to next week and the Stereo Hoggz were heading home.
Be sure to tune in next week to The X Factor on FOX to see the top ten perform!
