Before Ozzy Lusth was voted off and sent to Redemption Island on Survivor: South Pacific for the second time, he placed his ballot against Cochran. But half of his vote was censored by the network to only show “Coc” (image above). What was really behind the blur on Ozzy’s vote? What did he write about Cochran that was so bad CBS didn’t want to show it? You can see the uncensored vote inside this article. Read on!
Ozzy’s uncensored vote can be seen in a CBS.com video that shows how everybody voted at that particular Tribal Council. His vote reads “Cockrun.” If you look at the picture below, you’ll notice something that is apparently supposed to be the letter “K” emphasized heavily on the vote.
That’s it? I really expected to see something so much worse like coc*suc*er. Didn’t you? Is this vote simply a way for Ozzy to call Cochran a cock who should run away? I doubt it.
So why would CBS censor this? It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, but Probst did address the censored vote on one of his Tout messages while the episode was airing. “He (Ozzy) made a very obvious play on words with Coch-ran’s name, but since there are kids watching, I won’t say it. You figure it out. That’s Ozzy.”
Before reading this article, what did you think Ozzy’s vote actually said? Do you think this was bad enough to be censored out? Are you happy Ozzy was voted off and sent to Redemption Island again? Sound off and leave a comment below!
