Will Howard Stern Be Taking Over Piers Morgan’s Spot On America’s Got Talent?

November 11, 2011 12:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Yesterday we learned that Piers Morgan was leaving America’s Got Talent on NBC, and now the rumors are flying about who could possibly replace him. Could Howard Stern be the next judge on the show? Multiple sources claim the shock jock very well could be! Read on for more…

Piers Morgan, judge on America’s Got Talent, announced that after six seasons on the hit series, he is leaving the show. With the casting going on, NBC needs a replacement for Piers, and quickly! E! news has supposedly confirmed that shock jock Howard Stern is actually in talks with the network about possibly taking over Piers Morgan’s spot. The Wall Street Journal is reporting the same thing, claiming that NBC is offering Howard Stern something near $15 million per year, and that the network is willing to move the show from L.A. to New York to accommodate Howard Stern.

Howard Stern recently joked on his show about how he thought Howie Mandel “hit the jackpot” when he landed his spot on America’s Got Talent, and added: “I need an outside gig where I do nothing except, like, a simple thing. Like judging one of those talent shows.” While we don’t know whether or not Howard will actually head to the show, we do know that the shock jock is friends with both Sharon Osbourne, and producer Simon Cowell – so it could very well happen.

What do you think of the possibility of Howard Stern heading to America’s Got Talent? Would he make a good judge, or would he deter you from watching? Comment and share your thoughts with us below!
