The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills: Tea Party Intervention

November 14, 2011 08:58 PM by Megan Thompson

Tonight on Bravo, The ladies from The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills gather for a tea party at Lisa Vanderpump’s house. The tea party is far from civilized when the ladies have a huge altercation before the finger sandwiches are even served. Keep reading for all the details on tonight’s the RHOBH episode.

Kim introduces Kyle to Ken, her new boyfriend. This meeting is a big deal, since Kim has been hiding Ken from her family for over a year. Immediatlely Kyle notices that Ken is wearing a wedding band on his finger. Kim quickly tries to relieve Kyle’s mind by saying that the two aren’t married. The ring is not a wedding band, it’s a promise ring. Kyle can’t hide her feelings and begins to cry.

“Maybe I’m wrong and maybe she will be okay with this person,” is the kindest thing Kyle can say about Ken.

It’s Paul’s birthday, so Adrienne and Paul go out to dinner. The two bicker about the menu and as usual, Paul is annoying Adrienne. Adrienne opens up to that she is worried about Taylor’s emotional state and hints that Russell could be physical with her.

Poor Mauricio has to hear all about the Kim drama from Kyle. “Do we like him?” is Mauricio’s response. Kyle isn’t really sure how to answer, but she thinks Kim is settling.

It’s a night to celebrate Taylor as a business woman. I didn’t know she was such a power player in the business world? Apparently Lisa was purposely left off the guest list, but all the other girls are there to support Taylor. Russell is also by Taylor’s side, which means Taylor is walking on egg shells. Adrienne sums it up best by saying, “Taylor not inviting Lisa is passive aggressive.”

It’s a causal tea party at Lisa’s house, since there is only one housekeeper working the event. Lisa doesn’t want to play games, so she invited all the girls- even Taylor. The girls arrive and start drinking champagne – I like how they call it a tea party when it’s all about the champagne. Kyle shares with the ladies about the whole Kim situation. The girls are shocked that Kim has had a boyfriend for the past year.

When Taylor walks into the tea party, Lisa immediately brings up the fact that she wasn’t invited to Taylor’s event. Talk about an ambush! Taylor immediately goes on the defensive and says, “Why are you talking about me behind my back? I have tried to be your friend and I feel like a fool.”  Lisa tries to tell Taylor she is worried about her.  Taylor, who is now crying, says, “If you can’t be my friend, please don’t be my enemy. My life is tough enough as it is.” It seems Taylor doesn’t thinks she will ever be good enough to be friends with Lisa.

It’s now a flashback to Colorado when Taylor had a nervous breakdown. Completely breaking down, Taylor yells, “I’m so flawed and so imperfect. You give me anxiety.” Lisa tries to explain that she wants to be friends with Taylor and she apologizes for hurting her feelings. Taylor goes from crying to attack mode.  Taylor accuses the girls of not standing up to Lisa, and then she storms out of the house.

After Taylor leaves the tea party, the girls start talking about Taylor’s relationship with Russell. Lisa blurts out that Taylor’s husband is abusing her. The girls aren’t sure what to believe at this point, but in their hearts they feel something is really wrong.

I can’t believe it, but Taylor actually walks back into Lisa’s house. The girls actually confront Taylor about her relationship with Russell. Camille says, “Taylor we are protecting you.” It goes from saying we are protecting you by not saying your husband hits you, to blurting out in front of cameras that your husband has beat you! Wow! How will Taylor react to this? I guess we will find out next week.

Do you think Camille crossed the line when she revealed Taylor’s secrets? Let us know your thoughts, comment below.

Taylor is totally unhinged. She’s always in victim mode and misrepresents everything that everyone says to her. I do not believe her husband was beating her. She’s whack. I just want her gone.

This was going to happen and it was so expected. Taylor went in with the intention to ‘take down’ Lisa, but that plan backfired because there wasn’t anything really to bring down. Camille finally called Taylor out on her BS and it was good to see that someone finally did that. However,Taylor comes off disoriented, i don’t think she remembers things the way they actually happen and she has to be on very strong medication to flip between moods and conversations the way she does.
Lisa, really kept her calm and i think she saw right through the situation.
Kyle, i don’t know if you’re burned from the first season but your neutral stance doesn’t do anyone good when you don’t stick up for the truth and the betterment of your friends.

    1. I’ve been addicted to all of of the real housewives series!
    2. I work with women who are victims of domestic/intimate partner violence.

This episode captures all facets of what happens when dv occurs. The vicitim behavior confuses everyone to the point they don’t believe her. The victim’s friends & family can’t bring themselves to acknowledge because of their sense of guilt or shame.

So thank you to rhwobh for exposing all sides of domestic violence & its confusion, perhaps everyone will learn to see the signs & take action by educating themselves to help their friends & family who may be victims of domestic violence. It’s a problem each one of us can make a difference if we choose to act.

I love love love Lisa. She is the main reason I watch the show. I love the british accent, the way she is with her family, her fabulous wardrobe…everything but I don’t think Giggy as cute as he is, should be at someone else’s dining rm table unless the host/hostess said its ok. In my eyes Lisa can do no wrong. I don’t know what the heck Taylor was talking about. She found her voice and is not afraid to use it except she was supposed to use it toward Russell and not someone that was offering her a safe haven should she need it. Lisa nvr said ‘I’m not your friend’. When the scene from Kyle’s fund raiser was played she said ‘I’m not masquerading as your best friend..’. Clearly she knew based on their coolness toward one another that Taylor would be reluctant to come to her if she were in trouble but Lisa is a tough cookie and not intimidated by Russell and also lives in a gated community if Taylor and Kennedy needed to go somewhere safe. All she was was saying is despite our past I will help you.

Taylor has been jealous of all the women who’s finances were more stable than hers since the 1st season. To me she seemed to try to become Camille’s friend, by telling her when they were alone about Kim and her talking in the airport which is the conversation that got Camille mad again at Kyle after Kyle apologized and thought everything was smoothed over & that chaos lasted the entire season.

She tried to cozy up to Adrienne by saying she and Adrienne were so close and she was Kennedy’s God mother which Ms. Maloof later came out and said this was not true.

Kyle took the bait. She coddled Taylor as the 2 of them started to get closer instead of realizing that Taylor was a social climber who wanted to be in inner circles with women who had a certain status. I mean notice Taylor never tried at all to form a close bond w/Kim but last night she said she tried so hard to make Lisa like her. I think Taylor felt if she could get close w/Kyle she could also get close with Lisa but Lisa wasn’t born last nite. I’m sure Lisa had heard that she and Russell’s business dealings were shady and they were living beyond their means. Lisa is the one last season that said Taylor was more into the BH lifestyle than her own safety. Taylor has made many comments about Lisa like why is she qualified to talk about the royal wedding, and when she thru her daughter the big bday party last season..she justified it by saying someone like Lisa would spend that on some shoes for herself so at least she’s spending it on her daughter. Then she kept saying to Kyle she doesn’t want to feel Lisa’s wrath like Cedric did. Totally diff circumstances. Instead of trying so hard to be Lisa’s friend and gain her approval/validation Taylor should’ve have been herself. It seems that was the best way to get Lisa as a friend b/c Lisa seems totally loyal and ginuine.

I do not think Tatylor is a victim. I think she is the type to dish it out and forgets what really happened. Last season when she tole kim she was going to tke her out back and do something about Oklahoma, does that sound like a abused spouse. She was the aggressive one. Kinda makes you wonder. Also Lisa told her she was not her best friend, she didnt say not her friend. My My my how these converstions get so twisted. I also understand about domestic violence, for I have been there also. For a person to live with it through your childhood, woul;d make one so not want to and get out. Her charity was the reveal of domestic violence. But what little I have seen on the show I believe Russel was not the attacker. Nor can i believe after his death they continue down this path. He is no longer with us to defend himself. Let him rest is peace.

When Paul said something about the bruise on the side of her face while Taylor was standing at the gate is the point where I felt it needed to come out in the open. No more secrets. All of the “inuendos” of abuse would have plagued the season and the other womens story lines. Camille was well within her right to say something so it is no longer the “white elephant” in the room. Kudos to her. I am tired of watching Taylors “continual” crying and whining. I have gotten to the point where I change the channel when she appears.
