Dancing With The Stars Results Recap: Who Made It To The Finals?

November 15, 2011 08:09 PM by Megan Thompson

It was the semi-finals last night on ABC’s hit show, Dancing With The Stars.  There were great performances, but someone must leave the ballroom tonight.  Did your favorite star dance their way into the finals?  Keep reading for all the DWTS results!

It’s the semi-finals results show and the votes have never counted so much!  After last night’s performances Ricki and Derek were at the top of the leader board, while Hope and Maks landed at the bottom.  By the end of the night one of the four remaining teams will be sent home.

So who does Len want to see dance again tonight?  Well it seems Carrie Ann is pushing to see some more of Rob Kardashian’s (booty) samba dance.

Rob and Cheryl surprised the judges with outstanding performances last night.  Len told Rob, “You are finishing strong.”  Now it’s time to find out if Rob and Cheryl will dance in the finals.  Tom announces that this dark horse team will in fact be competing for the mirror ball trophy!

The first musical guest of the night, Cobra Starship, takes the stage and sings their hit song You Make Me Feel.  The pros hit the dance floor and get both the audience and judges out of their seats dancing.

Hope and Maks were at the bottom of the leader board last night.  It seems this duo can’t make the judges happy.  “Kiss my booty,” is how Hope felt about her scores last night.  Did the viewers vote to keep this controversial couple in the finals?  Brooke tells us that Hope and Maks are in jeopardy of leaving the show tonight.  Let’s just say that Hope doesn’t look surprised.

Brooke talks with Ricki and J.R. who are still awaiting their results. J.R. says that his ankle is okay and he is ready to dance in the finals.

Derek and Anna are the pros chosen to dance in the Macy’s Stars of Dance. The viewers picked the style of dance, the costumes and the song, which is Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance.  Derek and Anna do the song justice and perform a great Paso.

This week the boys at the Gold School of dance are highlighted.  These kids share how they love to dance, but have had to overcome being picked on for choosing dancing as a sport. Kyle, David, Jacob and Max hit the DWTS stage and show what amazing dancers they are – take that you bullies!

Now for the second musical guest of the night, it’s the Muppets.  The Muppets are at DWTS promoting their new movie, out in theaters next week.

Ricki and Derek had an amazing night last night.  “You have just taken a giant step into the finals,” Len told Ricki last night after her first performance.  As for J.R. and Karina they struggled to keep up, receiving sevens from the judges.  J.R. twisted his ankle in the first dance, but came back with nines for his second dance.  Now both couples take the stage to learn if they will be dancing in the finals.  Ricki and Derek are safe, while J.R. and Karina learn they are in jeopardy of going home.

That means either Hope and Maks or J.R. and Karina are going home tonight.  The dramatic music begins and the lights dim for the big announcement.  Tom announces the couple eliminated tonight is Hope and Maks!

Hope tells Brooke, “This competition is one of the toughest competitions I have ever been a part of.  I’m going to try to win a gold medal now.”  Maks tells Hope, “I wish I could have been better for you.”

So glad that obnoxious couple was eliminated tonight. Hopefully they will replace MAKS with another pro next season. Next week should be interesting with three great couples. Hope my favorite wins !

It was time for Max and Hope to leave. They were both very negative and disrespectful. It’s unfortunate because Max is a great dancer, he and Hope were a lethal combination. I doubt Max will be dancing next season.

Somebody has to be eliminated, but, sorry it had to be Maks. With the Kardashian fan base voting, I won’t be surprised if they win.
One comment…why is it necessary that the audience keeps screaming and clapping and drowns out anything Tom tries to say. I want to scream “shut up!” through the entire show.

We really like the show but really hate all the screaming, you can barely here the host(hostess) talk.If it’s the same next year we wont be watching and that’s a pity.Yes,we’re a little older but if those young people keep it up they wont be able to hear very good either.

Most definitely! Hope should have gone home weeks ago.

No! I think the judges are playing favorites-not judging fairly. I won’t watch anymore. Go Max!

Sorry but Hope deserved to go home. She was the least accomplished dancer in the bunch (of the final four). Rob was fantastic last night, Ricki was right on, and J.R. is an incredible dancer even if he didn’t do as well last night. The judges and the public got it right – again.

I agree with the results. Hope was the weakest celebrity of the four.

Finally she is gone! That woman does not have an ouce of grace in her. She is definitly not a dancer.

What a bunch of crap! There is no way rob is even in the same league as Hope. She was clearly better and deserved to be in the finals. I guess when you’re not in the judges favor, you’re just not going to win no matter how many votes you talley. 46? Are you kidding me? That was a joke. The judges knew Hope couldn’t come back from that. That’s it for me, I’m done watching this travesty. Hoe, you are amazing!!!

No one likes a sour-puss. In my opinion it is Hope’s personality that got her kicked off – not her dancing, and not Maks! Telling the judges to “kiss my bootie” is anything but eloquent. If you want votes, grumbling is not the way to get them. Smile, and the world smiles with you!

I agree that \Hope was the weakest dancer left in the semi finals. She appears just to be too much of a tomboy’ to be graceful on the dande floor. For those who call for |Max to leave – the show is nothing without the bad boy. \he adds the spice that it would otherwise lack. Besides, he is most certainly the best dancer. Derek is great, but rather short – \Max has the personality and the sexism that a male dancer needs. I hope that JR wins – he’s by far the best dancer….but the powerful and loud mothed kardasians will probably ensure that rob wins. he’s not bad – has matured – but no one can beat JR. even if he doesn’t win – he’s a winner in my eyes.

This is getting really boring Cheryl won 3 times Derik won 3 times. Ricki is not that GREAT
I vote for JR!!! hes the best
The judges are favoritism, its the same o same o

I agree with the results. Hope seemed like a sweet girl but though she tried hard, she just wasnt a great dancer. Plus, I agree with other comments that she & Maks were always very negative, and Maks – as usual – was arrogant and disrespectful – such is his personna. Rob is improving and is very likeable. My faves are Ricki and J.R.

I am a avid fan of the show – all 13 seasons. I love everything about it EXCEPT: Len Goodman has been WAY TOO insulting this year. If this is for publicity, it will BACKFIRE I promise you. Len has especially hammered Maxim and Hope this season (Chas Bono as well). Max and Hope are both REAL PROS but anyone can be pushed too far with an old bitty like Len. It’s time to replace Len. He’s just WAY too old!

  16. Lee Says:

Yes I think it was the right decision. Maks and Hope are lethal, I have no respect for either of them. Arrogant is the word. Maks should not come back either he has lots of issues. He is a good dancer but cannot take criticism at all. Hope was very ungraceful. She tried but she is not a dancer. Rob has blossomed into a dancer and has shown it, but Brooke is a good teacher. This season was interesting, one of my favorite shows but it is getting a little disgusting.

I think the three best dance couples are left. The last two standing will probably be Ricki and Derek and J.R. and His Partner. It will be a tough fight between those two, but whichever one wins really deserve it because both couples are so expressive in their dancing and they really become the character. They make you want the song to never end so that you can continue to watch them. Even though Rob has stepped up a bit, I think he’s only still in because of his last name. But he is fun to watch if nothing else. But if he goes home with the prize, I’m going to think that entire show is staged. it’s no way he is a better dancer than J.R. or Ricki.

Go Max at least u and Hope had the guts to challenge the judges, u were the best couple up there. Americans have a problem when people speak their minds. DWTS will be wishy washy without Hope and Max, I love you!

Hope and Maks should have been gone. They were both disrespectful and very rude. I did not watch for them. There are other dancers on the show. They just showed their real personalities. Glad they are gone.

Hope should have gone home long before tonite. She is not a dancer and Max dragged her thru most of the routines. I thing her snooty – I am great – attitude and Max’s rude, obnoxious behavior was just their downfall. I do not want to see Max next season, he needs dance and personality lessons!

In my oppinion Maks got Hope kicked out with all his attitude pronblems. He has such ability and talent but it all went to his head. He forgets that the judges’voting is not all the is needed to stay in the game, the people voting at home have A LOT to do with it. They might have just gotten sick of it. Good luck coming back next season.
