Hope Solo Snubs Media After Her Elimination From Dancing With The Stars

November 16, 2011 02:30 PM by Megan Thompson

Last night ABC viewers watched as Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. This controversial couple didn’t seem too surprised when they didn’t make the finals, but apparently Hope burst into tears when the cameras stopped rolling.  Keep reading to find out what happened backstage on DWTS.

Hope Solo and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy made it to the semi-finals of DWTS, but were eliminated from the show last night.  Maks and Hope have had several tiffs with the judges all season and this week was no exception.  After Hope received sevens for one of her performances this week, she told Maks that the judges could “kiss her booty.”  In an interview Monday night Hope also told Us Weekly that she was disappointed with her scores and “there’s no other couple here who can do what we just did.”

So what happened after the Olympic athlete was eliminated from the dancing competition?  According to US weekly, Hope did one interview and then refused to speak to any other press outlet.  An eyewitness said that Hope broke into tears, while the other contestants were celebrating making it to the finals.

Immediately after Hope’s elimination she told Tom Bergeron, “This competition is one of the toughest competitions I’ve ever been part of.  We have the most amazing fan base and instead of winning the mirror ball trophy, I’m going to try to win a gold medal.”

Is Hope a fierce competitor or a sore loser?  Maybe she forgot this was a dancing competition that is supposed to be fun! Let us know what you think about Hope not wanting to talk to the press, leave a comment below!

I’ve watched every season of DWTS, and Hope’s behavior has been the worst that I’ve seen. She really was the weakest of the remaining competitors, and should not have expected more. She behaved very low-class and disrespecful. It’s a shame to have someone like that as a role model for young girls. I think she will lose a lot of fans after this.

Successful high level athletes get upset when they lose. It is how they are wired.

Hope is an intense sports professional. I can see how it made her feel. Even though it is just a mirror ball, it is something that was important to her in that she does not like losing. I understand perfectly. Leave her alone while she recuperates.

For some imperceptible reasons, the three judges, throughout the season, didn’t give Hope Solo the time of day. They gave 10′s for emotional performances, but stayed conservative and rigid on uncommon choreography, and new steps.

I think she took it way too seriously and her attitude was bad. I understand being competitive but she went way to far. I didn’t want her to stay just because of her attitude. She was a sore loser!!

Hope Solo is a sore loser! I am so glad she did not make it into the finale, Rob Kardashian is a lot more fun to watch and a better dancer :)

I believe that you two were developing beautifully in technique and emotion in the beautiful dance that we saw unfortunately the judges weren’t seeing what the audience was. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!

Hope should have shared your thoughts with your fans because we think you are great!

Maks you are a pleasure for watch, I hope you return next year. You really brought Hope along, your devotion was admirable.

DWS is nothing more than a popularity contest, not about dancing. Hope is a competitor with a strong sense of fair play and that is not the way that game is played. The judges grade on a double standard and that is where the real problem starts. JR and Ricki deserve to be in the finals but the other one, please give me a barf bag.

She is a sore loser and didn’t deserve to be in the finals. The judges and fans picked right.

I am glad she is not speaking to anyone! She has quite the attitude, and it’s not good. I would be unhappy if she gets more notority for being arrogant, rude and a bad example of a competitor. I know some people believe ‘being strong and speaking your mind’ is a good thing, but when your a competitor it is not your job to tell the judges how to score you. It’s a competitors job to take criticsm and try to improve.

This was supposed to be fun!!!! That’s right. But the judges did not make it fun for her!!!!!

Hope and Max were right. The judges were awful to them and it was very obvious, they weren’t going to get the scores they deserved, especially in the Argentine Tango. The judges have their “Judges’ Pets” and don’t even try to hide it. This was the worst season of DWTS and I am sick of all the political “incorrectness” that has made the show unfair to real dancing competitors.

She’s a sore loser! She was the worst contestant of the 4 and it’s a shame she didn’t go sooner. I will enjoy the show even more now that she and maks are gone.

I really believe they need to change the judges. The old man and the woman have it in for Maksim and Maksim is the best dancer in the show not to mention easy on the eyes, the only reason I watch the show is to see him dancing.

Hope that these judges don’t take more retaliation against him and make the mistake of keeping him out of the show……….MAKSIM YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

How did this couple ever think they were in the running for the win?? He is the Biggest woman basher and she should be back on the Soccer field. No graceful moves and an attitude that would stop a clock. Who cares about your past family life!!! The couples are all there to vie for the trophy!!I really do belive the program is fixed, to a certain degree. Look at the way Chaz was treated, and now that JR is injured, he gets no pass for his one mistake due to his injury.

You know something, Hope should have been eliminated ages ago. She dances like a run-away freight train, out of control. Max is a great teacher and she was able to learn the figures but her execution much of the time is poor poor poor because she has no control, and her posture leaves MUCH to be desired. Hope should thank her “lucky stars” that she lasted as long as she did. Chyna should have been there in the semis before Hope. I hope that Hope has learned a valuable lesson in humility, and chill with respect to the over-inflated view that she has about her dancing ability. Granted I see tremendous potential there, but that depends entirely on long term persistence, and not in the limited time format that DWTS is.

Hope really needs to take a look at some of the video of her dancing. It is BAD! She did not belong in the finals and should have been gone a long time ago. She belongs on the soccer field. Not a dance floor. Suck it up Hope, you do not belong in the top 10, never mind the finals!
