November 21, 2011 07:09 AM by Megan Thompson

Tonight on ABC it’s the Dancing With The Stars finale. The final three couples will take to the dance floor one last time to show America they deserve to win the mirror ball trophy. It seems that everyone has a favorite to win, even the DWTS professionals. Maksim Chmerkovskiy has chosen his favorite to win DWTS. Keep reading to find out who Maksim is rooting for in the Dancing With The Stars finale.

After weeks of dancing only three stars remain in the fight to win Dancing With The Stars. Ricki Lake, Rob Kardashian and J.R. Martinez have all proved they deserve to be in the finale. It seems that everyone you talk to has a favorite star that they would like to see win it all. Ricki has been a favorite from the start, while Rob has just started to build on his dancing momentum. Then you have J.R. who has won America’s heart with his dancing skills and his personality.

So who does Maksim Chmerkovskiy think should walk away as the winner of DWTS? It seems Maksim has chosen his favorite star and it’s… J.R. Martinez. Maksim told the NY Post, “I think J.R. deserves it. It is his right to walk into Dancing With The Stars and walk away with the trophy. But on top of all of that, he is a great dancer.” He even went on to say that if J.R. doesn’t win the trophy that “there is something fundamentally wrong with America.”

There you have it, J.R. Martinez is Makism’s choice to win Dancing With The Stars. Do you agree with Makism Chmerkovskiy’s choice? Let us know who you want to see take home the mirror ball trophy, leave a comment below!

Maksim is most charming when he is not talking. Really liked his dancing but not his egotistcal outbursts. Nobody is irreplaceable, no matter their job or talent. Good manners and graciousness still matter.

i will always be a fan of max no matter who hes dancing with. he should not have gone home. i think the kardashians, all of the are nothing but a bunch of spoiled, egotistial brats. im so sick of kim and do not care for her at all. herpersonality, spoiled ways and selfnishness make her so ugly!!!!!
im hoping j,r.and korina win the ball but would also like it if ricki won. anyone but the little cry baby rob.

I think that Makism is full of it,this is a dance contest not a pitty party. I think J.R. is an amazing guy who i thank for serving our country, but does that me that we have to have pity for him and make him the winner. This contest is based on who is a better dancee, and to me Ricki is better. So if america feels that they have to vote for a guy who is vet just because he is a vet them this is not a real contest. J.R. must know that when you get into a contest you have to be objective and look at the persons ability and not pity.

I’m impressed with Max that he could look past his disdain for Karina and support J.R. Bravo Max!

For once I am in complete agreement with Maksim. When I first saw J.R. dance, I thought he was the professional. He IS that good. It is time for a male to win the competition again.

Yes i agree with max that JR should win. He has a winning personality can dance and has a great story.

I think it should be J.R. Martinez. I think he is the best dancer this year. I like the other 2, but I’m a little prejudice of course toward J.R. because he was on my favorite soap All My Children. However I really feel he has earned it.
    I’ll be watching. GO J.R.

I think any of the 3 left deserve to win for the hard work they put in, the level of dancing, but it’s who the fans send in the most votes for in the end.
Max, there are a lot of things fundamentaly wrong with America, along with the things that are right.
Get a grip man! Winners and losers on DWTS is not a temperature reading for the condition of America! It’s how our Government handles tax money, how we care for our helpless poor, (not our deliberatly poor), our citizens right to be free to worship, work, educate themselves, live their lives free from opression.
I admire J.R. and the contribution he has made, but anyone who votes for one of the other 2 is not a bad person or a bad citizen.

Maks is right, JR is the most deserving and I agree, bravo to him for getting past his crap with Karina. Maks is hot and I don’t care if he gets mad, he gets his feelings out and everyone is deserving of their opinions and feelings. This show does belong to the dancers ALL of them! The judges are terrible, they play favorites, Bruno is a stugats, CarrieAnn acts like a cougar and Brooke is the Village Idiot. Len, for the most part, gives constructive criticism. Tom Bergeron is fabulous!!

J.R. has been the most consistant. He seems to be the most relaxed (except when he turned his ankle). Good luck to all but may the BEST dancer win.

J.r. Martinez, is a good dancer, he deserves to win, its nothing to do with pity. he is a natural
He puts everything into the Dance. he is awesome.

  13. Maks is a Jerk Says:
    November 21st, 2011 at 1:40 pm

Sounds like someone is still bitter about Derek and Ricki. Hmph. Thanks for your two cents, Maks, but I think your 15 minutes of fame is wayyyy up. Nobody needs to interview this jerk because no one gives a crap as to what he has to say. I do think J.R. deserves to win but so does Ricki and so does Rob. If J.R. doesn’t win, there’s nothing “fundamentally wrong with America”. And if you think that there is, then please feel free to take your carcass back to the Ukraine. Let’s see you practice your Freedom of Speech over there!!!

  14. Lila Says:

If J.R. doesn’t win there’s “something fundamentally wrong with America”???? WHAT??!?! I take great offense to that statement. What is Maks going to do if J.R. doesn’t win? Cry and moan and badmouth this country? Well, he can take his arrogant self back to the Ukraine. Let’s see how much they appreciate his Freedom of Speech over there!!! I think J.R. deserves to win, too, but so do Ricky and Rob. I’m actually hoping J.R. does NOT win because I’m sure Maks will find a way to make it all about him!!

  15. Lois Sprague Says:

J.R. is a natural born dancer, and should win. I think a certain judge did Rob a dis-service looking at is butt and not his feet, they should not get 10 for their butts. He has come a long ways. Ricky has also come a long way and she had a nice attitude to boot! However, J.R. should win if his ankle is okay.

J.R. Martinez all the way baby…

  17. j a Says:

JR has had the best dances yet, I’d say, but he twisted an ankle and his dances really were not fantastic last week. It’s sad, but that’s part of life. I do think it’s a shame if Rob wins because of his sisters’ fame. So if people vote more for him (the latest trend, the kardashian reality show family, rather than a war hero, that would be a shame) that said, he did do pretty well indeed last week dancing and has improved stunningly.

i find there is no clear cut winner. ricki seems solid but i don’t find her surprising enough or moving enough for my taste.

  18. Nancy Says:

No matter who wins, they’ll deserve the trophy, I like all three contestants, I like this years better because none of the contestants could dance, thats the way it should be. I don’t blame Max for talking back to the judges, they can be very ruthless at times, just like they were to Chaz,Bruno making those remarks about him was uncalled for! Good luck to all three, you have done a good job!!

  19. Ann Says:

I love MAX he makes the show or it would be sooooo boring and tame..Stay just like you are Max…

  20. Liz Raboin Says:

I think J.R. (outside of the pro dancers) is the
    Best ever Star!
Don’t know what New England is going to do as the
Patriots game is pre-empting the program….
How do we get to see and vote?

    Good luck Karina and J.R.!!!!!

I agree with Max. JR is a superb dancer and has a great personality. Hope he wins–and if he doesn’t, then Dancing With the Stars is rigged.

I also agree that J.R. & Karina should win the trophy mirror ball. Their freestyle was awesome. They nailed it. Instead of a perfect score of 30, they should’ve gotten 40. Their 30 was far more superior than Rob & Cheryl.

  27. C. Bryant Says:

I agree with Max! I think J.R. is a fantastic dancer (especially when he’s not nursing an injured ankle)! He really deserves to win the trophy (& I’m so impressed with his military background and how well he’s recovered after being a burn victim)! I love Derek too (Rikki is okay), but he’s won the trophy so many times! Cheryl and Rob are good too, but she has won the trophy twice. It’s time for a different pro and her partner to win this time! Go Underdogs!

I voted for Ricki Lake, hope she wins, but from polls on the ‘net, it looks like JR might win.

“ed” of comment #3 says NO PITY. Max did not select JR out of pity, but out of respect for the dancing he exhibited.

Don’t be a jerk adn try to make this something it is NOT. JR is a talented and hardworking dancer.

That he is also an amazing, strong, positive-thinking person must really bug “ed”.
