Flipping Out: Exclusive! Jett Pink Confirms He Is Not Returning For Season 6

November 30, 2011 10:00 AM by Martha Zaborowski

Jett Pink, who famously survived Jeff Lewis‘ firing squad last season, will not be returning to Flipping Out for season 6. He wrote on November 28 on his Twitter account (@jett_pink): “First official day of being unemployed. Went for a nice bike ride, drank some coffee, sent some emails.. I think I could get used to this!” He then followed up with “Oh yeah, if anyone has any ideas of what I should do with my life lmk.. Thx!” Jett was promoted from being a house assistant to an office assistant last season by Jeff, so what happened since then to change Jeff’s mind?

Jett assures Reality TV Magazine that it wasn’t personal. He tweeted:”…he just let me go in order to cut down on costs. Assistants are a luxury expense.” We have certainly seen Jeff make budget and staff cuts the past few years due to the reality of today’s economy. When I asked him whether Jenni Pulos and Gabe Lewis were taking over his responsibilities, he responded: “Not sure what they’ll do.. Season 6 [of Flipping Out] filming won’t start til January.”

In other Flipping Out cast news, Jeff, Jenni, and housekeeper Zoila Chavez will be starring in a spin-off called Interior Therapy in which Jeff and Jenni move in together with a family for a week and help them remodel. Jenni is also recently engaged to a Greek doctor who is based in Chicago.

We wish Jett the best of luck and wished we were seeing his handsome mug on Bravo every week, but we can still hear from Jett and his band Whitehouse Station. To keep in touch with Jett, tweet him at @jett_pink or find him on Facebook.com/whitehousestation.

From the rumors, it wasn’t Jeff’s idea to fire him. It was Jeff’s Beeeeauch Gauge who did it (who if anyone’s been watching, has been trying to find ways to rid everyone away from Jeff). Such is reality TV, and the world of queendom I guess. Best wishes to Jett though – my guess is there’s still a “Bravo” future for him if Andy Cohen is smart.

Gauge is a major liability to Jeff. He has one by one gotten rid of everyone Jeff is close to. He slithers around looking to see who he can go after next. I think he is jealous of the whole group. Jeff needs to ditch that odd looking man and stick with the people who have been with him for years and are the ones who really care about Jeff. Jeff can do way better than Gauge.

Go away Gauge! You are a very strange person.

Not Gage. Jeff stated when the rest of the crew didn’t show up to see him speak in Vegas after drinking the night before at Sarah’s bacherlorette that they would all be gone within the year. Surprise; he kept his promise. Jeff remembers and holds grudges, *especially* when he’s not treated like the center of attention. That’s the major reason why I don’t watch the show any longer. I’m fed up with watching him treat people so badly. So not surprised to hear that the last of the ones who didn’t show up that morning is now looking for employment elsewhere. I can only think working for someone else will be a step up.

The economy has affected almost every business–mostly negatively. I suspect that both Gage and Zoila are going to have to step up their game. Jenny already does her share. It’s unfortunate that Jett lost his job. I hope he’s okay.

Loved Jett! Will miss seeing him. Have to agree with previous posts that Gage seems to have an usual amount of influence the past few seasons. Being a business owner myself, I understand the bean counting part to the business. However, I also know that there is nothing like (without the self-interest Gage obviously has as Jeff’s partner) loyalty and a great attitude, both of which Jett, Jenni and Zoila have consistently displayed. Hopefully there will be fabulous opportunities for Jett that we’ll be able to witness along the way….maybe even with Jeff….

Hmm. Suspicious comments. Season 6 is out and Jeff has a new house manager or whatever they are called. And she looks like one of hte lesbians that he remodeled a house for in the past. Weird. She is there . . . bit part . . . in the background but she is there. And they never (to this point) mention Jett. Whatever. More “reality” in the reality tv shows I guess. ;-)
