This week on NBC‘s The Biggest Loser, we said goodbye to Becky Comet and Vinny Hickerson, when their weight loss could not stack up to John and Antone at the final weigh in. In their post elimination interview, both Becky and Vinny shared how enjoyable their experience on the show was, and they are both looking forward to trying to win the at home prize. Read on for all the details!
The Biggest Loser returned this week as the final four – Vinny, Antone, Becky, and John went home to continue their journeys, before the final weigh in. After Ramon won the marathon, only two of the final four could move on once the weigh in was complete. Unfortunately for Becky Comet and Vinny Hickerson, they failed to beat out Antone and John on the scale, and were eliminated just shy of the finale. But rest assured, these two are doing well at home, and both hope to take home the at home prize! Check out their post elimination interview below.
Question: Vinny, watching your family talk about the abuse has us wondering if you have had anymore discussion about this with your family?
Vinny Hickerson: We definitely talked more about it. I have been working out with my brother, and walking with brother and sister, which is helping. My mom and my relationship is getting better. We’ve having Christmas dinner on December 17 that I’m looking forward to, and it’s definitely getting better. My mom dealt with it hard because it’s something she had continually not faced in her life. But I think it was good for her to face it, and I think it’s helping make her life better, as well as mine and my brother and sister’s.
Question: Vinny, can you talk about training with Carter Hays?
Vinny Hickerson: Carter has trained a lot of Biggest Losers in the past, with Hannah from last season being the most amazing. It’s like having one of the trainers from the show with me, like Bob or Dolvett, at your house with you all the time. He’s helped me continue my weight loss like I had at the ranch. He cares about me. He only wants to see me get better. He’s an amazing person. I truly look at him as a person who is helping save lives, and he gives me great workouts. He has a little bit of Bob and Dolvett in him.
Question:Becky, what was it like finishing the marathon arm in arm with Antone?
Becky Comet: It was amazing – just to finish a marathon was amazing. Antone and I ran the whole thing together, we’ve become great great friends, and to finish up with him at the same time was a very special moment for me.
Question: Vinny, how did you feel about Dr. H pulling you out of the marathon, and will you ever complete one?
Vinny Hickerson: I definitely want to finish one, only one, as marathons are not fun for me. I like lifting weights. I do want to finish one just for my mind. Dr. H pulled me because it was best for me, but I wanted to finish. I was proud of accomplishing 20 miles, and for him to say “we don’t want you to have a worse injury,” I have to listen to him. He is one of the smartest men I have met.
Question: What are both of your goals now?
Becky Comet: I am looking forward to just living a healthy lifestyle with my husband. You know, getting ready for the finale has been a lot of work. I just want to start doing things that we like to do. We are going to live an active and healthy lifestyle. We have bikes, and I can’t wait to go riding, and play racquetball. Just simple things like that.
Vinny Hickerson: My dreams are never ending, people think I dream too big. I want be in movies, have a number one hit song, yet I want to inspire people and do some motivational speaking. But my real dream right now is to get married to Lori, in the near future, we are thinking maybe October 2012. I want to have a son and a daughter.
Question: Vinny, will the other contestants be at your wedding?
Vinny Hickerson: I have made great friends, and loved everyone there. Sure, there might be a couple people there. Becky, and Antone, we are so close because we were team mates until the end…And Ramon, he is dear friend of mine. They will all have a special place in the wedding, but everyone will be invited.
Question: Do you feel that you are both strong contenders for the at home prize?
Becky Comet: I think we’re both just focused on winning that at home prize. I don’t think that’s a question. And I think, I mean, I know I can do it. I know Vinny’s right on my heels, or I’m on his heels, I’m not too sure which. We haven’t seen each other. But I think we’re ready to go for it.
Vinny Hickerson: For me, the ultimate prize is the health I’ve gained. It’s the way that I feel about myself, my body, and the way I look in my clothes, and I know Becky is the same way. Yes, I think we’re both very strong contenders to win the at home prize. We made it all the way to the end, but just because you made it all the way to the end doesn’t mean you lost the most percentage. There’s good weeks and bad weeks. We were blessed to get to do this, and I think it could be either one of us. And I hope it is one of us.
Best of luck to Vinny Hickerson and Becky Comet – we can’t wait to see you both again next week! Be sure to tune in for next week’s finale, when we will watch John, Ramon and Antone battle it out for the title of The Biggest Loser and $250,000!
