Rachel Crow Elimination Interview: She Does Not Want Anyone To Blame Nicole Scherzinger

December 09, 2011 05:59 PM by Lisa Princ

Last night on FOX‘s The X Factor, Nicole Scherzinger voted to go into deadlock, which ended up sending Rachel Crow home. In her post elimination interview, Rachel Crow had nothing but wonderful things to say about Nicole, and she does not want anyone to blame Nicole Scherzinger for her elimination. Read on for more of what Rachel Crow wanted to share with her fans!

Last night on The X Factor, we watched 13-year-old Rachel Crow fall into the bottom two, sing for survival, and get eliminated after the judges went to deadlock. In her post elimination press conference this afternoon, Rachel was very positive and shared her thoughts on Nicole Scherzinger, her experience on the show, and her future. Check out Rachel’s interview below.

Question: How do you feel about Nicole Scherzinger’s decision last night?

Rachel Crow: I feel good with it. I’m fine. I left the competition on top, I felt like, and it’s not her fault. I don’t want anyone to blame her, no one should blame her.

Question: Can you tell us what Simon Cowell, your family, and the other judges said to you after you were eliminated?

Rachel Crow: Paula Abdul told me I’m going to be huge and I love her very much, and she definitely has a lot of nice words. She supports me very much and I’m very happy to have her. My mom supports me all the way and she said, “It will be okay.” Simon said he will definitely keep working with me, which is great and he said that he has my back 100 percent.

Question: Were you surprised that you had less votes than Marcus Canty last night?

Rachel Crow: I was not surprised, but I just had a scared feeling. It was like “What do I do now,” but I am feeling much better now.

Question: You had three really great performances this week, does that make your elimination easier or harder to deal with?

Rachel Crow: It’s a little bit harder. I love performing every week – That was my highlight every week.

Question: Why is it so important to you to inspire other kids your age?

Rachel Crow: It’s important to me because I know how kids feel. I want them to feel special like I do.

Question: Since you had the lowest number of votes, do you feel that you should have done something differently? For instance, we know that you chose your own songs, perhaps going with Simon’s choice?

Rachel Crow: I definitely don’t regret anything and I’m very blessed that I got to do this. If I had done the song Simon wanted me to do, I would have gone up there and then I would have regretted doing it, but I don’t. It was my choice and I am glad I did it.

Question: Can you tell us about your comedy background?

Rachel Crow: I did have a comedy background. I used to do stand up comedy when I was like 11 or 12 and I always loved making people laugh and smile. I had a chance do that up onstage as well.

Question: What was going through your head last night when it was revealed that you were eliminated?

Rachel Crow: It was heartbreaking, and I was very sad. I am doing much better now.

Question: What have you learned from The X Factor that you will take with you?

Rachel Crow: I will take away the experience of a lifetime. It was amazing, and for the lessons I’ve learned, I learned so much at a young age. I learned so much I don’t even know how to say it without saying it for hours on end. I’ve learned to always stay true to yourself, I’ve learned how to control my vocals even more now, and I’ve learned that friends are made on television shows. It’s very hard to go.

Question: What was your favorite performance?

Rachel Crow: My last performance because I put everything I had into it. I love being up there pouring my heart out.

Question: Would you be interesting in acting in the future?

Rachel Crow: Acting is something I would be interested in. It’s exciting, so maybe.

Question: Reports claimed that Nicole Scherzinger cried for 30 minutes after the show last night, can you tell us about that?

Rachel Crow: No, Nicole did not cry for 30 minutes, but she did for an hour and a half. She was devastated and I love her – she’s got the biggest heart. She’s just so beautiful on the inside and out, and I will hopefully always have a special place in her heart as she will always have a special place in mine.

Question: You and Drew became the best of friends on the show, have you had a chance to speak to her yet?

Rachel Crow: Yes, we have spoken and we just talked girl talk. She called me last night and we got on the phone and we talked for awhile and it was nice. It was just she and I talking. She told me it was okay, and that was how she felt. We just had a nice heartfelt girl to girl talk.

Question: How has the show changed who you are as an artist?

Rachel Crow: It changed who I am as an artist because I know finally that I’m not a nobody anymore. I’m very happy to share my light with the world.

Question: Do you feel like L.A. Reid threw you under the bus when he said that Hollywood was calling you?

Rachel Crow: I don’t think so. I think he just wanted to let everyone know that it’s exciting. I don’t know, but he’s a very nice man and I don’t regret anything he said to me.

Question: Who are you rooting for to win The X Factor, or who do you think will win?

Rachel Crow: Honestly, I would be the worst judge ever, because I looked at all four and tried to figure out in my head who could win. I think that they all have an equal shot.

Best of luck to Rachel Crow, and thank you for taking the time to chat with us all today!

Rachel is FAR more talented than that Canty guy, who is NOT talented. Stupid female judges keep voting FOR him more like they want to sleep with him than judge him honestly-they make me sick.
Rachel could be a Broadway star, an actress, singer,
she is like Shirley Temple in a lot of ways.
I DO really think of BROADWAY for her !!!

Nicole is absolutely to blame for being a yellow bellied little baby who would not stand up to her own convictions. She was hired as a judge for God sake! What an act she gave…”"I can’t! I just can’t!”–well ya did Nicole..you BLEW it. Canty sanf horribly in his save me song, he messed up his beginning cue…RACHEL sang like she’d never sung before. And you? SEE YA!

Rachel is the most amazing young lady. She was my favorite on the show. I looked forward to her performance every week because she always made me smile watching her perform. One of the judges said This girl got it all, sassy, funky, funny, feisty, soulful…and I agree with him. I won’t watch the show anymore because I don’t feel the same about the other contestants. I miss watching her already. I hope Disney or Nickelodeon will sign her up. She deserves to be a superstar

    Nicole didnt vote for deadlock.
Nicole specifically said she was SENDING RACHEL HOME.
The voters that participated in voting just didnt save Rachel.

There were not as many voters participating in deadlock this week due to Nicole’s “teenage meangirl antics” last week.
Nicole was aware MANY XFACTOR veiwers werent going to vote. It was all over the web.
“I will not vote anymore because of the obvious politics amongst the judges that sent Drew packing….”
or Maybe Nicole saw this one
“I will no longer vote on XFACTOR, because our votes dont count….”
O.o maybe she saw this one:
“The eliminatuion process is flawed~ 1 week save me is a bonus performance, other weeks it is judged as a “sole performance, yet deadlock votes have NOTHING at all to do with save me.”
Bad week to gamble with deadlock after 11% ratings drop & all these petitions & nonstop complaints of veiwers stating they werent going to participate lol Nicole was better off flipping a quarter.
