The Real Housewives Of New Jersey: New Lawsuit For Lauritas And Manzos!

December 17, 2011 09:09 AM by Martha Zaborowski

Another day in Jersey, another day for members of Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey to get sued. (Does is shock you as much as it shocks me that the lovely and demure families of The Real Housewives of New Jersey get sued more often than cast members of the Jersey Shore?) This lawsuit involves two families from The Real Housewives of New Jersey: the Manzos and the Lauritas, specifically Chris Manzo and Albie Manzo (Caroline’s sons) and Chris Laurita (Jacqueline’s husband). Why are they being sued?

The Manzo and Laurita family have been promoting a beverage called BLK for the past few months. Essentially, BLK is black-colored water with minerals, electrolytes, and antioxidants. They are being sued by Creative Thinkers for inappropriately using, “reality TV fame to sell a false story about how the idea for a fulvic- and humic-acid infused health drink originated.” Creative Thinkers says the family stole their idea of a product called BLACKWATER(TM) product and “conspired…to steal the product, marketing, and distribution plan.”

Well, the Laurita-Manzo boys are selling a product called “BLK,” which is black-colored water…I am sensing perhaps a little similarity to this BLACKWATER(TM) product…

Jacqueline Laurita is still tweeting about the product: @jaclaurita: “This months ‘Hit List’ in Beverage World magazine. One of the most innovative products! BLK!” According to AllAboutTRH.com, when Jacqueline was asked about the lawsuit by a Twitter follower she direct messaged her privately: “He [Chris Laurita] didn’t steal anything. I guess you’ll soon find that out. Don’t be so ignorant.” Additionally, both @albiemanzo and @chrismanzo have the Web site BLKBeverages.com listed on their Twitter profiles as well.

Good news for one Jersey family, however: looks like Teresa Giudice’s bankruptcy trial has been dropped, which was scheduled on December 22 and 23. For more information on Teresa’s trial, visit StoopidHousewives.com.
