On the last episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Bravo, Phaedra and Sheree meet Sheree’s ex-husband, Bob, in court for the ongoing child support battle. Little did they know that Bob Ol’ Boy had a surprise for Sheree and Phaedra: a petition for contempt of court! Bob claims that Sheree took furniture from him that was granted to him in the divorce, so the judge sets another court date. Sheree got checked, boo.
Sheree thinks Bob is three steps ahead of Phaedra. Phaedra tells Sheree she did everything she was supposed to do but reminds Sheree that she did not pay her until the day before the hearing. Sheree is upset and tells Phaedra: “This is my life,” there’s some back and forth, and Phaedra realizes that she and Sheree should probably not work together for the sake of their friendship. Sheree agrees with her, and they part amicably.
Kim is moving into her dream house–at last! She deserves it. The poor thing has been living in a two-floor townhouse with her boyfriend, her two daughters, and her infant son; how can she manage? She’s got four storage units, y’all. She feels like she’s going insane.
It’s moving day and Kim’s managing the move, including the move of Sierra, Farrah, Dolly, Deborah, and Candy: Kim’s wigs. The wigs will be moved in Kim’s car with a seatbelt. They’re her babies.
Kim and the family move into their newly designed home, and it’s gorgeous. Baby KJ’s bedroom looks like something I’ve seen on an episode of the Osbourne’s.
Cynthia is attending the opening of an art gallery in Atlanta and has invited the ladies to join her. Good news: Sheree loves art. Her favorites include abstract art, clothes, and shoes. Marlo also attends, and Phaedra reminds us that Marlo is Atlanta’s high society and Kandi reminds us that Marlo says she got her money from God (and not some sugar-daddy white guy).
The Bailey School of Fashion is opening, and Cynthia is trying to recruit her husband Peter to help. Cynthia made a mistake mailing the invitations, but Peter is not going to help, nu-uh. Peter thinks she needs to learn how to do things right through her failures.
Speaking of previous mistakes, Kandi meets with her business manager and he gently reminds her that working with artists like Kim and Lawrence was probably not the best move for her career as a Grammy-winning artist. Whatever, she had fun, and we are forever grateful for “Don’t Be Tardy For the Party.” Kandi would love to move into country music and would love to be on the walls of every jail cell in the country. Versatility, thy name is Kandi.
Kandi plays her music to country star Jo Dee Messina. They agree to meet to bounce some ideas around.
It’s the night of the opening of Cynthia’s school of fashion. Cynthia starts crying because she wants everything to be perfect, and her sister Mallory questions if there’s anything else wrong. Cynthia shows up looking absolutely stunning. Mallory is talking to guests about setting everything up the night before without Peter’s help who was at a pool party. I don’t know what’s worse: being married to Peter who is disrespectful or having a sister like Mallory who completely disrespects Cynthia’s privacy in her marriage.
NeNe and Kim plan on attending the opening, which will be the first time they’ve seen each other since Cynthia’s wedding. They’re both wearing black sleeveless tops and black pants, but they’re not here to battle–with each other. Marlo doesn’t appreciate that Kandi insinuates she’s had sugar daddies. Marlo says she didn’t have a “Big Poppa,” Kandi gets defensive, Kim feels discomforted, and NeNe laughs with glee.
We close the episode with Cynthia looking for Peter to thank him for his help, and he is nowhere to be found.
Do you like Kim’s dream house? What do you think of Marlo? Is Peter getting a rough edit, or is he just rough?
