Hugh Hefner Talks Lindsay Lohan Playboy Spread

December 20, 2011 10:44 AM by Perry Miller

Hugh Hefner is opening up about the drama that surrounded the January 2012 issue of Playboy and troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan. Read on to see what the Playboy magnate has to say about working with Lindsay and being forced to release the issue 10 days early.

Hugh Hefner, the 85 year old Playboy founder and star of E!’s The Girls Next Door, has never been soft spoken about his lifestyle, his wardrobe or his magazine.  Playboy has launched the careers of stars like Anna Nicole Smith and Pamela Anderson and has  featured starlets like Kim Kardashian and Jenny McCarthy. So it seems natural to feature the troubled starlet of the moment Lindsay Lohan.

Hugh Hefner admits to being initially skeptical about the prospect of featuring Lindsay Lohan in a nude pictorial, who at the time was in the middle of courtroom drama surrounding her inability to complete probation. She has often exhibited erratic behavior in both her personal life and professional life.

“I wasn’t quite sure where she was at in her life, obviously,” Hugh Hefner told E! news. “It depends on whether it’s Tuesday or Thursday.”

The concept of the entire shoot was his idea and based around the very first Playboy shoot, which featured Marilyn Monroe, an idol of Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay Lohan and her handler’s initially did not want to do a nude shoot, but the group was reassured that the entire shoot would be done in a very classy way. The first round of photos were actually thrown out by Hugh Hefner and the entire spread was re-shot just hours before Lindsay Lohan reported to jail for a 5-hour stint. The end result is a blonde Lindsay Lohan posing before a red velvet back drop in nothing but stilettos.

The buzz around the issue has been so huge that the pictures were leaked on the internet, causing Playboy to release the issue 10 days earlier that expected. “It became a stocking stuffer!” joked Hefner.

When I first saw the photo of just her butt, I seriously thought it was a baby’s butt and was an add for Johnson & Johnson baby wipes or something.

God, that Hugh Heffner is one ugly, tacky SOB. What a nightmare.

    They’re both a nightmare.

I knew hefner back in the 60′s when he started the mag with 5 grand.

His dis-llusions about women were proved accurate when it took just a few $$$ to get babes to drop their drawers, lay on a bearskin rug and prop their asses up for a camera.

Hef was, and still is the nerd of the sixties, a shit-personality and an ego that could not fit in Rosey O’Donald’s fat ass.

To the poster boboj above: Look where he is and look where you are. He’s got his face buried in young hot girl’s boobs every night and you have your face buried in a computer monitor. Guess it pays to be a pervy nerd!

boboj, Playboy started in the early 50′s (1953), not the 60′s. By the time the 60′s rolled around, it was already well established. I don’t think you knew Hefner when he started Playboy.

Ickky (ICYNDICEY) is in a worse place because not only is its face buried in a computer screen also, but it has not gotten laid in … how many years now?
