The Rachel Zoe Project’s Brad Goreski Named Exclusive Stylist For Kate Spade

December 29, 2011 05:30 PM by Ashley Lee

His new reality television show It’s A Brad, Brad World premieres on Bravo next week, chronicling his days of solo struggle after parting ways with Rachel Zoe. From the likes of the preview, things didn’t look promising for Brad Goreski as he operated a styling business out of his own garage. However, he is now making a name for himself in the fashion world as his latest accomplishment went public today: the former styling assistant on The Rachel Zoe Project has been named Kate Spade New York’s exclusive brand stylist!

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Goreski’s two-year contract includes working with Kate Spade creative director Deborah Lloyd to style press events, fashion presentations, ad campaigns and e-commerce shoots. In addition, he is expected to elevating brand awareness surrounding the company’s growing ready-to-wear category. If It’s A Brad, Brad World earns enough ratings to secure a second season, it’s highly likely that we’ll get to peek inside Kate Spade’s creative spaces!

Goreski first worked with the creative director when he styled the brand’s fall presentation during New York Fashion Week last February, and began discussing a long-term partnership in August.

“The brand is known for its accessories, and their ready-to-wear is fairly new and [it’s] Deb’s baby,” Goreski told WWD . “We see so many people carrying the bags and the accessories. It’s my hope to get the ready-to-wear out there and see it more on the streets and see people playing with it and making it their own.”

“I have been a fan of Brad’s sense of style and spirit from afar for some time now,” said Deborah Lloyd. “When I began to consider a stylist with whom I could really build an ongoing relationship and one whom I trusted, he was the first that came to mind. Besides being a great stylist, he is a joy to be around and a true gentleman. He keeps me laughing and keeps me on my toes.” Such an opinion probably contradicts with that of his former boss, Rachel Zoe!

Goreski tweeted the news to his followers this morning. “I’m a huge tweeter. I use it as my way to really interact with people, and part of my job will be collaborating [with Kate Spade] in all areas of social media to get people involved and more excited about the brand.”

What does he have to say about incorporating Kate Spade into his world? “Here’s to living colorfully in 2012 & beyond,” he later tweeted.
