Simon Cowell Says The Second Season Of The X Factor Will Be Even Better Than The First

December 30, 2011 12:43 PM by Lisa Princ

Season one of The X Factor left many viewers wondering if it could possibly get any better, after fan favorite, Melanie Amaro walked away with the win. But, Simon Cowell promises that next season will be even better, calling it a “bloodbath.” What else did Simon Cowell have to say about the next season? And who will be returning? Read on to find out!

The X Factor executive producer and mentor, Simon Cowell, recently spoke about his plans for the next season of The X Factor on Fox. Simon Cowell told People Magazine: “Next year will be a bloodbath. We have to come out with something better than the rest, and that’s what we aim to do,” adding that before any decisions are made, he will take in any input he can from the network and the sponsors. There has also been some buzzing about toning down the production numbers, and while Simon did not comment on that, Paula Abdul would be on board with it, as she claims to be a fan of “less is more.”

Speaking of Paula Abdul, she did confirm to People Magazine that she will be returning for the new season, unless something “bizarre” happens, but what about the rest of the crew? First and foremost, let’s put an end to some rumors here – reps for Steve Jones assure us that he was not fired, and is very interested in coming back, and looking forward to working with the judges again. Meanwhile, L.A. Reid told the magazine: “I would love to come back – what I don’t like is, I love it so much. I don’t control it, it’s up to the boss.”

Sounds to us like the only one who may not be on board to come back, is Nicole Scherzinger. Nicole has been the subject of death threats and was heavily criticized after going into deadlock, which sent beloved Rachel Crow home. Fans to this day are still angry at Nicole Scherzinger, who had the perfect chance to save Rachel Crow. While Nicole Scherzinger did not come out and say that she was not returning, she did say she was looking to focus on her own music this upcoming year.

Who do you want to see come back next season? Comment and share your thoughts with us!

I would like to see Nicole Scherzinger come back, but it doesn’t really matter either way. However, all of the crap she is getting for sending Rachel home? She DIDN’t send Rachel home.. If fans had voted for Rachel in the first place then there wouldn’t have been any trouble in deadlock but Marcus had more votes. Nicole just did what was fair.

Melanie didn’t win x factor, Simon did , he got the sympathy vote because he lost Rachel and Drew.

He is going to lose big with her, she has no personality, no stage presence and is boring. That voice is not going to replace Mariah, celine and others like them. She will just be a cover singer and do nothing original and different. She will sell a few records and fade into the back ground. She better hopes she can get a job as a back up singer.

    Sorry Simon and x factor.
