As the next season of The Bachelor is set to premiere on ABC, Ben Flajnik, this season’s very eligible bachelor, shares more about himself. We already know Ben Flajnik is 29-years old, from Sonoma, CA, and a winemaker. And of course, we also know he was infamously dumped on national television by Ashley Hebert on last season’s The Bachelorette. But there’s so much more to this season’s bachelor.
Ben has a pretty interesting nick name, “Storm Horse.” He earned the nick name thanks to his unrelenting passion for the San Diego Chargers. He even goes incognito with a band of friends at the Chargers games; the gang calls themselves the “Frightening Lightning.”
But Ben’s just not into sports, he’s extremely well-rounded. Before becoming a winemaker and opening a winery with two of his friends, he started a successful internet company. Making wine and wooing bachelorettes take up a lot of his time, but he still manages to find time to go crab fishing, sailing, or golfing. Or even singing with his tribute band. And he has a reputation for making spoof music videos that are good enough to be on Saturday Night Live. It seems that studying music production in college serves him well.
While Ben is certainly grounded these days, he was a bit of a party animal while in college at the University of Arizona. A member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity, he was reportedly arrested for underage drinking in 2003.
Of course, Ben Flajnik will reveal much more about himself as this season of The Bachelor gets underway. The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 2 on ABC.
