Cast Promises More Fun, More Laughs On Season Five Of Jersey Shore

January 04, 2012 08:06 PM by Amelia Cooper

When the Jersey Shore gang was packing their bags and getting ready to leave Italy at the end of season four of MTV’s Jersey Shore, the drama was thick enough to cut with a knife. Maybe it was going to the motherland of Italy, maybe it was how much they missed New Jersey, but whatever it was, season four was dramatic. As season five is set to premiere tomorrow night, the gang promises more fun and more laughs – and less drama – when they are back in Seaside Heights.

“You’re gonna see a lighter side of us in Jersey,” Ronnie Ortiz-Magro assures fans. “We have a lot more fun as compared to Italy. People were fighting, running heads into walls, bottles being thrown — it was just a lot of drama. Jersey is going to be a lot more fun.” We hope this means that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino doesn’t end up in the hospital again. And maybe Ronnie and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who have had a tumultuous relationship involving tons of drama, can actually get along this season.

The guys promise they are getting back to what they are known for, GTL, which stands for gym, tanning, laundry. Spending their afternoons this way ensures they can look their best before heading out to the night clubs looking for girls.

And what kind of girls are they looking for this season? Vinny Guadagnino cuts right to the chase, ”We wanted easy girls.” That leaves fans wondering if Snooki is among those easy girls, considering they have quite the history of hooking up, or as they call it in the Jersey Shore house, smooshing.
