Nick Cannon Transferred To L.A. Hospital After Kidney Failure

January 05, 2012 06:52 AM by Shayla Perry

Not even mild kidney failure can keep Nick Cannon down! The America’s Got Talent host was admitted to a Colorado hospital on Wednesday, January 4th after falling ill during a family ski-trip to Aspen with Grammy-winning wife Mariah Carey and the couple’s adorable twins, Moroccan and Monroe (aka Roc and Roe). Now, the radio host and NBC reality star is on the move, being transferred to a hospital in L.A.. This time, the news didn’t come from Carey, but directly from Nick himself! Does this mean it’ll be a speedy recovery for Cannon?

The news of Nick Cannon’s mild kidney failure was a shock to the entertainment world on Wednesday (January 4), but perhaps even more surprising was the health update tweeted by the man himself hours after wife, Mariah Carey posted a photo of the two curled up in his hospital bed.

“Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for your love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be a’ight,” tweeted Cannon.

By her man’s side every step of the way, Mariah tells People, “As always, he’s in good spirits considering the situation,” adding that despite his positive outlook, “the situation is not easy,” and Cannon is definitely “in a lot of pain.”

“We are hopeful that he’ll be 100 per cent as soon as possible,” says Carey. “We really appreciate everybody’s love and support.”

Get well soon Nick!

unfortunately, reality is that we are not able to carouse, drink, take dope and treat our bodies with contempt without paying the price for it. smoking, caffeine, even the little things like fatty foods and poor hygiene can trip us up and cause our deaths from infections that we ignore too long. slow down, clean it up, don’t do anything illegal or immoral or fattening, or unkind to or negligent of your body. it’s too hard to stay healthy – never assume your good health is anything but the product of your taking great good care of yourself.
