Jersey Shore premiered last night as the group returned from Italy to their “home” of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Through all the partying, hooking-up and fighting, you might have noticed that Snooki looks slimmed down and fit compared to previous seasons. Just how is Snooki losing the weight? Read on to find out.
When Jersey Shore debuted in 2009, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, became a star overnight. The pint size “guidette” was embraced by viewers immediately for her hard-partying and hilarious antics. During the next season in Miami, Snooki looked a little heavier. When you are only 4’9″ any fluctuation in weight can be obvious.
When the cast traveled to Italy in season four, Snooki looked more fit and trim than she did in previous seasons. Even going to the gym with Ronnie, although she had to have a glass of Pinot Grigio prior to her work out.
As season five premiered last night on MTV, Snooki looked more fit and trim than ever. Lately she is more often tweeting her 4 million Twitter followers about hitting the gym than hitting the bars. Snooki says she has almost hit her goal weight of 98 lbs thanks to working out, cutting calories and controversial diet pill Zantrex-3.
Although Snooki has admitted to struggling with an eating disorder in high school, she seems to be losing weight the healthy way this time. So how does she lose weight and still keep up her partying ways? By only drinking clear liquids when she is out with her roommates.
If the premiere last night is any indication, Snooki will need to keep up her strength as she continues her fight with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino that began in Italy and has followed them home to the Jersey Shore.
