NBC announced earlier today that during the battle round of season two, the coaching sessions and the decisions will be advised by their superstar friends. The winner of each duet will move on to the live shows, whereas the other will be immediately sent home.

“These renowned musicians will bring their unique and recognizable musical styles to the teams,” said Paul Telegdy, NBC president of late night and alternative programming. “They are well-respected singers whose invaluable experience will be a tremendous asset to Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s artists.”

Blake Shelton will be advised by Kelly Clarkson and his wife, Miranda Lambert, and Christina Aguilera will team up with Jewel and Lionel Richie. Cee Lo Green will sit alongside Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Ne-Yo and Maroon 5′s Adam Levine will be advised by Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke.
