Gene Simmons and wife Shannon Tweed may have only recently tied the knot, but the couple has been together for over 28 years. How do they manage to keep things hot after all this time? [Insert snide comments about Gene's "extracurricular activities" here.] For the Gene Simmons Family Jewels stars, it’s as simple as two little words: “Put out.”
“Romance is interesting, but somebody much more prolific than I put it better — she should be a Madonna in the kitchen and a wh— in the bedroom,” the KISS rocker tells HollyScoop.
Tweed, 54, takes to offense whatsoever to her hubby’s comments, joking that she likes the fact that he insinuates that she’s a “wh—.”
“[You have to] keep having sex in different ways,” Shannon advises. “Try to think of something new.”
For some, that’s easier said than done when there are little ones in the house. Luckily for Gene and Shannon, the kids are no longer a problem.
“Thank god the children are grown up,” says Tweed of the couple’s son and daughter, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 18. “As soon as they hear noise from upstairs, they leave the house. That’s good.”
After 28 years of ups and downs, and several awkward interviews and on-air spats, Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed finally walked down the aisle on October, 1, 2011.
There’s been speculation that the marriage was nothing more than a publicity stunt to boost the ratings of their A&E reality show, but Nick Simmons argues, “I was there when the cameras weren’t. My parents went through a dark wood and came out still wanting to be together.”
