Kiptyn Locke was runner-up ABC’s The Bachelorette, and later found love on The Bachelor Pad with The Bachelor runner-up Tenley Molzahn. The couple faced a crisis last week when a “freak accident” resulted in Kiptyn having to undergo emergency neck surgery. How is Kiptyn doing and who is he thanking after surgery? Read on to find out.
Kiptyn Locke set out to find love on The Bachelorette, only to have his heart broken in season five by Jillian Harris. The same result on The Bachelor for Tenley Molzahn, who was ultimately rejected by Jake Pavelka. But these two reality stars are counting their blessings. After being rejected, they teamed up on The Bachelor Pad and became a couple in real life. A couple since late 2010, they both insist that their relationship is the real deal and all about fun and laughter.
“On those shows you go straight into meeting the parents and talking about marriage, and there’s so much pressure,” Tenley Molzahn told PEOPLE. “But with the two of us together it’s just laughter all night long.”
The couple seem to have kept their positive attitudes in the face of a scary “freak accident” that required Kiptyn to undergo emergency neck surgery.
Tenley posted an update from Kiptyn on her Facebook page yesterday. “I’m home. I want to send a giant Thank You to my friends, girlfriend, & everyone who showed incredible support these last couple of days. I’m the luckiest man alive from the friends and family for being there for me to the surgical team showing up at 10 pm for a 4.5 hour emergency surgery. I am forever inspired by you and thankful for you.”
We wish Kiptyn a safe and speedy recovery!
