When it comes to Beyoncé’s new daughter, Blue Ivy, Beyoncé is sparing no expense. Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z welcomed Blue Ivy into the world on Saturday, January 7, and already, Blue Ivy is being spoiled by her parents. Beyoncé, who has appeared numerous times on Fox’s American Idol, and Jay-Z are making sure Blue Ivy has everything she needs plus much, much more.
Among the extravagant baby items that can be found in Blue Ivy’s nursery, it’s been reported that Beyoncé splurged on a $3500 lucite crib from a baby boutique in NYC. While shopping with her mom Tina and her sister Solange, Beyoncé apparently fell in love with the crib, which is pure lucite and not at all traditional. In fact, it is the first crib on the market to be made entirely of lucite. Featuring curved edges, the cribs were made on a limited run, and each crib, produced by Nurseryworks, is etched with its own unique number.
The good news for Beyoncé and Jay-Z is Nurseryworks offers a matching changing table and rocker that would complement Blue Ivy’s nursery perfectly. With price tags that match that of the crib, $1500 and $2100 respectively, Blue Ivy would certainly have a nursery that befits the daughter of two mega-stars.
Considering Blue Ivy is the daughter of award-winning parents, perhaps her nursery is also full of musical instruments and microphones. Among the awards Beyoncé has won are 16 Grammy Awards, 11 MTV Video Music Awards, and a Billboard Millennium Award. Jay-Z’s distinguished list of awards includes 14 Grammy Awards, 10 MTV Video Music Awards, and 10 BET Hip Hop Awards.
