Blue Ivy Carter, the brand new daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, may only be a few days old, but her birth is already stirring up drama at the hospital in which she was born. A group of moms is claiming they were mistreated by the hospital, after Beyoncé and Jay-Z supposedly paid 1.3 million dollars to seal off the floor. But the superstar singer, who has made appearances on American Idol, is being defended by the hospital. Read on for the scoop!
According to NYDailyNews.com, Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly paid 1.3 million dollars to seal off a wing of the hospital where Blue Ivy Carter was born, and now TMZ reports that a group of new mothers at the Lenox Hill Hospital are upset with how they have been treated since the lock down, and are threatening to sue the hospital. The mothers claim that they are not upset with Beyoncé and Jay-Z, but they are upset with the hospital, who they claim has left them feeling “neglected,” and they also claim that the added security has been “rude” to them.
Meanwhile, the hospital has denied that Beyoncé and Jay-Z have paid to seal off the wing, but they did admit to added security, and rightfully so – I mean, this is Beyoncé! A rep for the hospital said: “The family does have its own security detail on site. However, the hospital has been and continues to be in control of managing all security at the facility. We have made every effort to ensure minimal disruption to other families experiencing the births of their own children over the past three days.” Could this possibly just be a group of mothers trying to take advantage of the situation?
Despite the drama, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are in love with their new daughter. The pair issued a statement on the birth of Blue Ivy Carter, claiming that she was born natural, not via C-section as rumors claim, adding: “Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”
