It’s a battle of the sexes on tonight’s episode of Top Chef: Texas. The remaining chefs on Bravo’s hit reality TV show sharpen their knives for the time-honored “Restaurant Wars” test. Keep reading to find out which team wins!
The still-standing chefs include Sarah Grueneberg, Chris Jones, Ty-Lor Boring, Lindsay Autry, Beverly Kim, Paul Qui, Edward Lee and Grayson Schmitz. They’re all vying for a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic, $100,000 and the title of ‘Top Chef.’
The eight competing chefs are broken into two groups: the men versus the women. Let the cat claws come out as tension in the kitchen heat up for both groups. After struggling to get through serving judges Tom Colicchio, Emeril Lagasse, Hugh Acheson and host Padma Lakshmi; the guys realize they didn’t do as good as they had hoped but gave off a good vibe in their restaurant.
Next the women take over the kitchen and the arguing intensifies. People are left waiting at the door–including the judges and some of the fish dishes are over-cooked. The women had some problems they needed to work on in terms of service but offered quality dishes.
After sampling both restaurants, the judges agree that while the guys were better with service, the girls had better food. During the judge’s panel, the winning team selected was the women. The chef who brought the best food was Beverly and won a trip to Napa Valley. The judges choose to eliminate Ty-Lor Boring.
