With all the drama surrounding The Bachelor so far this season, how is it possible that the ABC series has hit an all time low in ratings? Do you viewers dislike Ben Flajnik? Or could it be too much drama to keep folks from tuning in? Read on for more…
Is it possible that too much drama could be a bad thing? The Bachelor is only two weeks into the new season, and while it has been drama packed from the start, the series has fallen to an all time low in ratings. The Bachelor, which ran from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., slipped to a 2.2/5 and 7.2 million total viewers – a drop of 8% from last season and its poorest showing to date. With most of the other networks running repeats at that time, this news comes as a bit of a shock to fans.
We surely thought that this season, which includes Ben Flajnik, who was turned down by Ashley Hebert on The Bachelorette, would have done better in ratings. After all, so many fans were disappointed to learn that Ashley did not choose Ben, and when Ben Flajnik was announced as this season’s Bachelor, fans seemed thrilled. I mean, last season we watched “villain” Brad Womack on the screen, a decision that disappointed most of us when it was announced, yet his season took off with higher ratings.
We can only hope that next week the ratings will go back up, especially since Chris Harrison promised some explosive drama on Monday. Have you been tuning in to The Bachelor? Why do you think Ben is getting lower ratings? Are you looking forward to next week’s episode of The Bachelor? Comment below and share your thoughts with us!
