January 13, 2012 03:00 PM by Lisa Princ

Maksim Chmerkovskiy left quite an impression last season on ABC‘s Dancing With The Stars, with his continuous outbursts, and even going as far as blasting the judges. Maksim Chmerkovskiy left many of us wondering whether or not he would return to the series for the new season, and in a new interview, Maksim revealed that he does plan to return, and he does not regret a thing about last season. Read on for more!

Dancing With The Stars fans watched last season as Maksim Chmerkovskiy created quite the controversy as he blasted the judges for criticizing his partner, Hope Solo. Maksim went as far as stating at one point that it was “his show,” and even telling reporters after the show: “F-ck judge Carrie Ann Inaba.” Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s frequent outbursts last season left us all wondering whether or not he would return for season fourteen.

In a recent interview, Maksim says that he does plan to return the show this upcoming season for another shot at possibly winning the mirror ball trophy – a feat that the handsome Ukrainian has yet to accomplish. Maksim Chmerkovskiy also talked about this past season, saying: “There were some ups and downs, but every season had something interesting in it, whether it was the dynamic of a partnership or me speaking back to the judges.”

While his outbursts and battles with the judges may have offended some, Maksim has no regrets as he continued: “There were some things that I’m not extremely proud of, but I think that the imperfections and not-so-good moments are exactly what made me who I am.” Are you glad that Maksim has plans on returning to the show for the new season? Absolutely Maksim should return. Judges should remember the professionals are working with people that are NOT dancers and missteps are expected. Critique but don’t be overly harsh as some are. I applaud Maksim for standing up for his partners.

What a tool. If Maksim worked ANYWHERE else, he would have been fired on the spot. In addition to a girnormous ego, he’s also insubordinate. I would have fired him in a heartbeat.
Maks is a legend in his own mind. He is VERY replaceable.

I am so glad he will be back, I think he was right to tell the judges what he thought, they do critize him more than the others especially Derrick who always seams to get the better partners. I hope they give Max a good partner this time, and Max I would love to dance with you any time!

Glad Maks is coming back! Make no mistake, I’m sure the producers loved the controversy – any publicity is good publicity. Maybe it’s time for new judges. They were especially mean-spirited last season except towards their (quite) obvious favorites. Not a problem to have favorites, just attempt to make it less obvious to the viewers; be objective and keep comments fair, constructive, and without personal insult. Not too much to ask, is it?

So glad Masks is coming back. He is not worst than any other professional dancers when they found themselves hearing harsh comments from the judges. May be it is about time the judges and the professionals have meetings before the next coming session to empty their bags and avoid future unnecessary conflicts. Masks is one of the best dancers to watch and he take what he is doing very seriously and I respect that.

Maks is a fantastic dancer and my favorite to watch. The past season the judges were quite cranky too. Quite the combo! It’s a great TV show and Maks belongs on it!

Sooooo glad to know Maks will be back on Dancing!!! Yes, the judges have their favs and consistently criticize Maks. If Maks did not come back I would no longer watch the show!!

I have to admit I’m glad Maks is back because if he didn’t come back the judges’ rants would’ve been validated.

He had many valid points last season in regard to favoritism, and if the judges bother to watch this past season they’ll see he was spot on there. Hope was – for better or worse, picked on more than others who were flat footed, such as Chaz.

Chaz was getting praises but Hope wasn’t and their skills were even at worst times.

He sadly will end up with a dud though and Derek and others who sided with the judges on the rant will get ringers.

I’m not saying that Maks should get a ringer, but he and others should either all be treated as equals or ABC and the judges should realize that they earn their criticisms but the unfavored dancers.

Well, he is good at his job, but he’s totally replacable! Max is an egotistical snob and if he were on any other show, would have been fired in a minute…I would have fired him easily. If he wants to be outspoken, let him get a cable show where he can act any way he chooses. This show is in prime time national television and he should just keep his mouth shut like everyone else! He’s probably highly over paid as well! ” )

Maksim is my favorite. Yes, he is eye candy! Derrick is my next favorite dancer. I am sick of the judges and would prefer not having them. The show is about the stars and professional dancers, NOT THE JUDGES! Bruno is the only one I really like and he has said things a few times that he should not, but other than that he is fun. The judges dominate too much of the show and that should be changed.

When Maksim made the remark, it was in the heat of the moment and I do believe when he said “his” it was a general term applying to all the professionals that work so hard to teach the stars. That IS what the show is truly about; that and the costumes is why I tune in.

I just started noticing the prejudice of the judges the last few years. Maybe they should just replace the other 2 and leave Bruno. I did just get a video with Maks dancing with 2 other instructors so I am excited to use it. If Maks was not there, not sure I would bother to watch. Why should I expose myself to the pompous judges who over-rate themselves.

Mak’s opinion of himself is delusions of grandeur.
If he concentrated on showing off his partners instead of showcasing himself all the time.He and his partner would do much better.
Sadly he now has his brother on the show and he is another Maks.
He should feel ashamed of the way he spoke to Len.
I am sorry he is returning.I may stop watching the show.
