Nick Cannon, who suffered a mild kidney failure earlier this month, was recently released from the hospital, and made his first public appearance this weekend. How is the America’s Got Talent host doing, and what did he have to say? Read on to find out!

America’s Got Talent host, Nick Cannon was admitted to the hospital for mild kidney failure earlier this month, was released a from the hospital last week, and he made his first public appearance this weekend. Nick Cannon took the stage at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. Saturday night for the BET Honors to present his wife, Mariah Carey with an entertainer award. Nick looked healthy and happy as he carried his 8-month-old son, Moroccan out on the stage with him.

When Nick Cannon took the stage, Mariah Carey joked that Moroccan’s sister was not on stage because: “She’s a diva like her mama. We were both sewn into our dresses, so she couldn’t make it out.” But Nick Cannon, for a change, was more serious as he spoke and gushed about his wife, sharing how much she did for him while he was sick, and even calling her a hero. Nick Cannon told the audience: “What most people don’t get to experience is the human. To know you guys are honoring her tonight, I have to continue to honor her every day.”

We are so glad to see Nick Cannon is up and at it again! America’s Got Talent would not be the same without him!
