Many MTV viewers were dismayed to see Vinny Guadagnino exit Jersey Shore last week in only the second episode of Season Five. Vinny appeared to be missing his family, but actually revealed that he suffers from clinical depression. On the heels of making the decision to leave the show, Vinny penned a new book, which addresses the issue of anxiety and how to cope. Keep reading for details…
Control The Crazy: My Plan to Stop Stressing, Avoid Drama and Maintain Your Inner Cool is the complete title of Vinny Guadagnino’s new book about the anxiety that drove him to leave MTV’s Jersey Shore on last week’s episode.
Vinny recently told Entertainment Weekly that writing the book, which is due out April 17, was an extremely therapeutic exercise for him, and also an attempt to reach out and help others who suffer from generalized anxiety.
Guadagnino, whose anxiety manifested itself back in high school, well before his Jersey Shore days, admits he has often covered up his feelings of anxiety while on the MTV reality hit, and shares some of those behind-the-scenes experiences in his book.
Control The Crazy: My Plan to Stop Stressing, Avoid Drama and Maintain Your Inner Cool isn’t just for anxiety sufferers, however, as the Jersey Shore heartthrob also wrote it as a memoir of sorts, sharing funny stories about his life and his time on the show.
Vinny’s new book puts him in the company of several Jersey Shore castmates, namely Snooki, The Situation, and JWoww, who also have books out. Control The Crazy: My Plan to Stop Stressing, Avoid Drama and Maintain Your Inner Cool is now available to pre-order on Amazon.
Will you reserve a copy of Vinny’s new book? Are you hoping he’ll return to the Seaside Heights house this season and rejoin his Jersey Shore castmates? Jersey Shore airs on MTV on Thursday nights at 10:00 PM EST.
