Though things were initially tense just after Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced their divorce, their new reality television show that scouts talent throughout Latin America would say otherwise. The American Idol judge says that her and her ex are peacefully working together; they’re the new Sonny and Cher!
On their new Latin American reality show Q’Viva! The Chosen, Jennifer Lopez says her professional relationship with her ex, Marc Anthony, is famously peaceful.
She joked that it’s “very Sonny and Cher after the divorce” in the premiere episode, which was screened Thursday for reporters at the Soho House in Los Angeles.
“Really?” Anthony replied onscreen.
The first episode of the talent search showed the previously married musicians playfully sparring with each other while evaluating hopeful performers in Puerto Rico.
For example, when Anthony flirts with two beautiful and busty twin sister dancers, Lopez teases, “Let’s keep the integrity of the show together.”
Lopez and Anthony filmed Q’Viva! The Chosen both together and separately across Latin America. Their production company refers to the international talent search process as a “docu-journey.”
Q’Viva! The Chosen will premiere on January 28 in the U.S. on Spanish-language network Univision, with an English-language version expected to come to Fox later this year. It will also air in twenty countries in Latin America.
