This week on Next Great Baker on TLC, we said goodbye to Chad Fitzgerald as his final four performance was not up to par. After he was sent to the box truck, Chad shared some thoughts on coming so close to the finale, and his time on the show. Read on for more!
Monday evening on Next Great Baker, the final four contestants battled it out over the most beautiful cake for Miss USA. Unfortunately for Chad Fitzgerald, he was not listening very well when Buddy Valastro said “No pageant cakes.” Despite his gorgeous cake, Chad was sent home, but he has no bitter feelings about anything. Chad told TLC after his elimination: “I was definitely upset. It’s a game. Everyone goes home at one time except for one. I wanted to be that one, but with being letdown for going home comes a great amount of pride and strength. I wanted to win.”
While Chad Fitzgerald went on to say that he is thankful for all his fans, he did not say that he would do anything differently if he had the chance. So what has Chad been up to since the show? He is actually back to teaching at the same school he was at prior to the show, despite leaving that position. Chad Fitzgerald also gushed about Buddy Valastro, saying: “He wants the best for us and continually challenged us,” making sure to note that Buddy is a great guy, although he is a perfectionist.
