Is college necessary to have a career? Not if you’re on a reality television, especially if that show is Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Bruce Jenner has hinted that his two youngest daughters, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, are at a place where they’ll probably be skipping out on college after graduating from high school. A diploma isn’t necessary if they’re aspiring to become branded businesswomen like Kim Kardashian and rumored to have their own sisterly spin-off show with E! in the works, just like Kourtney and Kim Take New York, right?
Us Weekly spoke to Bruce Jenner at the Performance 3D demonstration in NYC on Monday, and the father of Kendall and Kyle Jenner confessed that his daughters are already so busy with their careers that they may not need pursue higher education.
“If they want to go to college, certainly, I think it’s a good idea. But I’m not the advocate of, ‘You’ve got to go to college!’” Bruce said. ”I think by the time they graduate from high school, they will probably be in a position to go right to working.”
Kendall and Kylie have both been dabbling in modeling and fashion, and are rumored to have a spin-off reality series in the works.
“They’ve just developing their clothing line for Sears — it’s a little more teen-oriented, the clothing line. And they’re working all the time on the show, [Keeping Up With The Kardashians].”
Kendall Jenner has posed for a couple magazine covers and hopes to continue pursue modeling in the future.
“She’ll probably have a career by the time she’s out of high school,” Bruce continued. “If that’s what she wants to do, that’s good. I don’t know if college is going to be that important for her.”
Of the Kardashian clan, only Kourtney Kardashian and Rob Kardashian have attended college: Kourtney graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Theatre Arts, and Rob graduated from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. Bruce attended Graceland University and his son Brody Jenner dropped out of his classes at CU Boulder. Kris Jenner explicitly admitted in her memoir that “school wasn’t her thing” and that she had no desire to pursue a college degree.
