Kim Kardashian Lands Another Acting Gig

January 27, 2012 07:00 AM by Shayla Perry

Those staged scenes on her E! reality shows are certainly paying off for Kim Kardashian. After landing a role in Tyler Perry‘s film The Marriage Counselor, Access Hollywood now reports that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has just joined the cast of a scripted television show for a multi-episode arc. What show is it? Find out after the jump!

This season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York may be coming to an end, but it won’t be too long before you see more of Kim Kardashian on television again (try to contain your excitement).

The reality TV princess has just been cast in Lifetime‘s Drop Dead Diva, where she’ll play Nikki, a new love interest for angel-on-earth Fred (Ben Feldman), and business partner to Fred’s ex-girlfriend, Stacy (April Bowlby) in a multi-episode arc.

“I’m ecstatic to welcome Kim to the Diva family,” creator and executive producer Josh Berman said in a statement. “In discussing the role of Nikki with her, I’m blown away by her smarts, sense of humor, and passion. This series is all about reinvention and I’m so excited to see Kim ‘reinvented’ in the world of Drop Dead Diva.”

Season 4 of the hit show begins filming in February.

Drop Dead Diva starring Brooke Elliott returns to Lifetime in the summer of 2012.
