It’s safe to say Constantine Maroulis has made the most of his exposure on Season Four of American Idol, with non-stop roles since his American Idol tour wound up. He is currently starring in The Toxic Avenger in Houston, Texas, and is headed to Broadway in 2013 to star in Jekyll & Hyde.
Following American Idol, Constantine landed a role on soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, playing Constantine Parros, for an extended run in 2007. Aside from that, and releasing his album, Constantine, he’s been all about stage performing. He earned a Tony nomination for his three-year stint in Rock of Ages, toured with a production of Rent, and appeared in The Wedding Singer on Broadway.
Constantine also just wrapped up an appearance as a record executive in the movie version of Rock of Ages, which is due out in June of this year.
In his private life, Constantine became a dad for the first time to daughter, Malena James, back in December of 2010.
Jekyll & Hyde will open on Broadway in the Spring of 2013 with Maroulis in the title role, telling the story of a doctor in London who releases his dark side, or evil alter-ego, while attempting to understand mental illness. Others who have played the role on stage include Skid Row lead singer, Sebastian Bach (Gilmore Girls, Celebrity Fit Club, Gone Country), and former America’s Got Talent judge, David Hasselhoff.
