Still in need of a super snack for the Super Bowl? We’ve got you covered! Real Housewives of New York City alum and star of Bravo‘s Bethenny Ever After, Bethenny Frankel has a simple salsa recipe to satisfy all of the football fans at your gathering, whether they’re rooting for the Patriots, or the Giants (like Bethenny).
What’s a Super Bowl party without salsa and chips?
The big game may be today, but there’s still time to put together this quick, easy salsa recipe from the Skinnygirl herself, Bethenny Frankel, who says it’s “the perfect spicy salsa for your party or afternoon snack.”
Here’s what you’ll need….
Bethenny Frankel’s Salsa Verde Recipe
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb green tomatillos, husks removed
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
2 tbsp lime juice
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
salt and pepper to taste
“Cut the tomatillos lengthwise and roast them either on the grill or for about 6 minutes under the broiler until the skin is a little dark,” the Bethenny Ever After star advises. “Put the roasted tomatillos, onion, cilantro, lime juice and jalapeno in a blender or food processor.”
Next, simply blend until pureed and refrigerate to chill. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips, or alongside some cheesy quesadillas and a Skinnygirl margarita!
