The Voice Coaches To Perform Prince Medley Tonight!

February 06, 2012 09:00 AM by Ashley Lee

Last night’s season two premiere of The Voice was filled with talented blind auditions…want more? The singing competition is returning to its regularly scheduled Monday night slot on NBC tonight, and it’ll be more than just a few more sets of blind auditions: Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine will also be performing a medley of Prince’s biggest hits!

According to People, tonight’s second episode of The Voice will include a superstar medley of songs by Prince, along with more blind auditions as the mentors and coaches select more members for each of their teams.

And just like last night, viewers won’t be seeing any auditions by fame-hungry “singers” just looking to get on television for a minute or two (think American Idol hilarity).

“We all told them we’re not signing up for this show if it’s about ridiculing someone or mocking talent,” said Christina Aguilera to reporters earlier this month.

Cee Lo Green added his opinion of The Voice: “This show is about artist development.”

Adam Levine, lead singer of the band Maroon 5 and the coach of last season’s winner, Javier Colon, also noted that this season’s level of talent  “is pretty high, so you can be honest and say, ‘This isn’t your best,’ rather than they suck.
