L.A. Reid Signs On For Second Season Of The X Factor

Even though judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, as well as host Steve Jones, are all out of The X Factor for good, L.A. Reid has just signed a deal to return for the FOX show’s second season. Read on for the details, including who is highly rumored to replace the female judges on the show!

A source told The Hollywood Reporter that L.A. Reid, the Epic Records music man who is responsible for R&B success stories like Boyz II Men, P!nk, Mariah Carey and more, has agreed to return to The X Factor and judge hopeful musicians alongside Simon Cowell next season.

L.A. Reid signed his option contract on Friday, only four days X Factor creator Simon Cowell announced that Steve Jones and judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger would not be returning to the show.

Recently, Cowell had admitted that he was a bit overconfident with his new FOX show, as he was ’a bit too cocky’ with its first season and its ratings has ‘put my ego in check’.

The biggest star rumored to take a seat at the judges’ panel on The X Factor? Mariah Carey drew instant and universal speculation when the firings were announced, is being considered!

No word yet on when an official announcement might be made.
