The Biggest Loser Recap: Missing A Trainer, But No Shortage Of Drama

February 07, 2012 08:46 PM by Lisa Princ

Last week on NBC‘s The Biggest Loser, the aqua team returned to the ranch, and we saw the elimination of Nancy Rajala. This week, one team lost their trainer, but did it hurt the team, or make them stronger? Read on for all the highlights on this drama filled episode!

The Biggest Loser kicked off this week with what else: drama, of course! Cassandra was trying to deal with Nancy’s departure, but the red team did nothing but bicker, as Mark was trying to chat with Adrian, who demanded that he talk to the entire team. Then, Alison Sweeney brought everyone out to the pool for their challenge – trainers included!

For their challenge this week, the teams needed to hold up a weight with ropes, as Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince sat on diving boards above the pool. The first team to drop their weight would send their trainer into the water, and away for the week! That’s right, one team would be losing their trainer for the week! Both teams held on for nearly an hour or so, but eventually the red team cracked, sending Dolvett into the pool, and away for the week. They could have no contact with Dolvett at all, but little did they know that he would be watching them!

Kim took over the red team, giving out workouts and playing trainer, which was cool with Dolvett, who watched in amazement at the hard workouts Kim was dishing out. What Dolvett did not expect to see, was Conda’s mouth running non stop – all she did was moan and complain, complete with badmouthing Adrian. Yes, maybe Adrian came on a bit strong, but this girl deserves to be smacked – what a drama queen! Adrian had a good talk with Daphne as they walked, as he feared that if his team did not succeed, he would be sent home.

Meanwhile, Bob Harper took some time to get to know Megan on The Biggest Loser. Megan shocked Bob when she told him that she saw herself as a fat, ugly, chick. Megan may be overweight, but can anyone else see a beautiful, young woman in her? I can, and honestly, I hope she makes it to makeover week, because she will be stunning, I am sure. Bob then took his team on a hike, where he had a good talk with them about embracing Daphne, and reminding them that she is only in her second week on the ranch. The black team agreed and had no issues helping a fellow team member – hmm, maybe the red team should take notes?

After the hike, Bob treated his team to lunch out, where they had to learn how to utilize a healthy menu – and some of their old meal habits seemed to shock them when they learned how many calories that they used to eat. Then it was more workouts, and we watched as Mark, Conda, and Kim of the red team conversed about Adrian and their plan to get rid of him if possible. Is anyone else starting to despise the red team as much as I am, which is sad, because I love Dolvett and the excitement he brings.

Upon returning to his team in time for the last chance workout, Dolvett surprised his team with the knowledge of everything that Conda had said, but no one seemed to care. The only person that stuck by and tried to befriend Adrian was Roy, not surprisingly. Dolvett ripped Conda a new one, telling her that the only person he wanted her to worry about, was herself. Then it was off to their last chance workout, but could the red team prevail at the weigh in without having Dolvett all week long?

Here is how the teams fared at the weigh in:

Bob Harper’s Black Team

Chism
from 318 lbs to 305 lbs (-13)

Megan
from 229 lbs to 223 lbs (-6)

Chris
from 211 lbs to 206 (-5)

Jeremy
from 338 lbs to 326 (-12)

Emily
from 230 lbs to 223 lbs (-7)

Cassandra
from 200 lbs to 195 lbs (-5)

Daphne
from 244 lbs to 236 lbs (-8)
*Total team loss of 56 lbs and 3.16%

Dolvett Quince’s Red Team

Roy aka Santa
from 268 lbs to 261 lbs (-7)

Conda
from 263 lbs to 255 lbs (-8)

Kimmy
from 193 lbs to 188 lbs (-5)

Mark
from 251 lbs to 244 lbs (-7)

Kim
from 215 lbs to 209 lbs (-6)

Buddy
from 345 lbs to 336 (-9)

Adrian
from 334 lbs to 325 lbs (-9)
* Total team loss of 51 lbs and 2.73%

That meant that Dolvett’s team was, once again, up for elimination. And to make matters worse, it was Conda aka the wicked witch, who was safe this week due to her high loss. Needless to say that it was no shocker that almost all of the red team, with the exception of Roy, voted for Adrian – poor guy did not get much of a chance! As Adrain was leaving, Mark attempted to chat with him, but Adrian wanted no part of it, and who can blame him? Then Adrian went back into the room and asked that everyone aside from Roy, stay away from Daphne.

In any event, Adrian is now down 100 lbs since starting the show, and is hoping to lose more weight than anyone at the finale. Oh, and don’t worry, Daphne will be bringing it to Conda next week!

I am SOOOOO sick of the red team being allowed to chastise it’s members and then to take up the whole first part of the show making the viewing audience watch the drama! I thought you were a more classy woman than to allow this kind of crap to take up your show, Allison! Let’s get back to the reason behind the show- watching people work out and eat right and losing the weight they came on to lose. Adrian had no chance from the beginning. A comment was made that “if we lose the challenge this week, will WE be able to come back on the show next?” Adrian and Daphne DID NOT make the rules! They worked for everything they got and should have been given a fair chance back on the ranch. Allison, you cannot control how the other contestants act but you CAN and SHOULD control what kind of drama and garbage is shown on national TV!!!

The show last night was a disaster as far as I am concerned.
The RED team was wrong for the way they did to Adrian. And I really fault the producers for allowing this type of behavior to go on.
Adrian should never have been voted off of the show.
Those members of the RED team were very racist in what they did. My sister and I always comment about the show during each episode, but last night took the cake.
    BRING ADRIAN BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that you will loose a lot of viewers if things are not changed on the program

I am really surprised by this season. I don’t know where they recruited some of these people from. The red team is ghastly. Conda and Kimmie both are very nasty.I can’t believe that some of the men on that team have went along with them by letting their attitude infiltrate the whole team. I hope they end up splitting up the teams in the next couple of weeks.

As for Adrian. Yes, he talked too much at the wrong time. He should have kept more of a poker face once he saw how they were. However, that doesn’t excuse the poor treatment of a mob. It was very uncomfortable watching the show. I hope they get back to more of the inspirational pull next season. They also need to get another woman trainer in there since Anna left that voice last season.

    DISRESPECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show last night was a disaster, I have never felt so angry watching TV. The red team are so disrespectful. Adrian and Daphne came to the biggest loser just like everybody else looking for help. Who do Conda and company think they are to judge people.

Producer: How much more disrespect and discrimination do we have to watch?

There should be a ZERO tolerance for player disrespect COACH, TEAMMEMBER, BIGGEST LOSER FAN AND BORDERLINE RACIST.
    BORDER LINE RACIST
