Fear Factor Recap: Bees And Bulls

February 12, 2012 09:16 PM by Megan Thompson

Tonight on NBC it’s an all new episode of Fear Factor.  Yes, the woman above is covered in bees. Keep reading to find out if this woman reigns queen bee and brings home the $100,000 prize.

Joe Rogan welcomes the five teams to a special two hour special of Fear Factor, with a grand prize of $100,000.  Then it’s right to the first stunt!

Stunt #1

Aaron and Dana, who are exes, are chosen at random to tackle the first stunt. Unfortunately for us, the pair does a rap performance before boarding the helicopter.   Dana is then strapped to the bottom of a helicopter, flying above water, while Aaron must climb down to detach her.  Aaron is doing a good job unstrapping her arms and legs, but now he must drop her onto a specific target in the water.  Aaron misjudges the target, so Dana hits the water instead.  Dana uses a lot of time swimming to the target, so  they get a time of 2:47.  Plus, Dana walks away with a bloody nose from smacking the water so hard.

Misty and Zak, who met online, are up next.  Zak actually posted an ad on Craig’s list for a partner to go on Fear Factor, Misty was the first person to apply!  Probably the only person to apply, isn’t there a Craig’s list killer?  Misty decides to be strapped to the helicopter, while Zak will try to unlock her.  Zak releases Misty for the target, but she hits the side of it hard and falls into the water.  Misty swims to the flag and stops the clock with 2:13.  Misty and Zak automatically advance.

Edward and Jennifer, who are just friends, are up next.  For the first time, the male will be strapped to the bottom of the helicopter.  Jennifer is proving that her self-proclaimed “ET fingers” are working, as she is quickly untying Edward.  When Jennifer releases Edward, he misses the target.  Edward swims to the flags and stops the clock at 2:16.

The marine friends, Troy and Dorothy, think they can easily beat the other teams because of their military experience. Dorothy is strapped to the helicopter, while Troy will unleash her.  Troy drops Dorothy into the water and she completely misses the target.  With a time of 1:52 these marines show they are a force to be reckoned with.

Laurann and Keith, who just broke up three days ago, are up next.  Laurann misses the target, but quickly swims to the flag.  Laurann and Keith are able to stay in the game, while Aaron and Dana are sent home.  Aaron and Dana are not Fear Factor champs, but they will always have their rapping career.  Sorry guys!

Stunt #2

I hope no one is afraid of bees!  The teams walk up to a swarm of bees and they are already afraid, which they should be.  Joe tells them one person will be hung and covered with over 100,000 bees, while their partner has to eat 20 live bees.  Once the person easts the bees, they can use an axe (of course covered in bees) to cut their partner down.  ”I’m about to pee on myself,” one of the contestants says.

Misty and Zak are up first.  Misty now has a blanket of bees on her; I have no clue how she is staying calm.  Zak is downing the 20 bees.  Couldn’t they sting your throat? Zak quickly cuts the rope and the team has a time of 1:54.   The worst part is the bees are still on Misty. The bees have to be scraped off of her.  Misty shows the other contestants her various stings.  Then Zak does let everyone know that the bees did in fact sting his mouth.

”This hurts so bad,” Laurann says as the bees begin to sting her nose. Keith is doing a good job eating the bees, but Laurann is obviously disturbed.  Can you blame her?  This man wants to get his lady out of there, because they get a very fast time of 1:51.

It’s time for Jennifer and Edward to face the bees.   Jennifer is pretty calm, while Edward is eating the bees like they are candy.  The team was on track to have the best time, but Edward has major trouble with the axe.  With a time of 3:15 seconds, Jennifer and Edward are likely going home.

Dorothy tells Joe, “I’m ready to face my fears!” I guess we will see if Dorothy is able to overcome her fear of bees.  Dorothy looks like she is going to about lose it, while Troy is doing his best to eat the bees.  With a time of 2:44 seconds, the marines send Jennifer and Edward home.

Stunt #3

Next up is a height challenge!  That’s right, 13 stories above the ground one person from the team will need to collect as many flags as they can in two minutes.  For each flag the person collects the other team member, who is sitting in the building, will receive a bean bag.  After the two minutes is up, both people will be launched from the building.  The person with the bean bags will try to hit a target.  The team closest to the bulls eye of the target wins $5,000 and will be able to choose the order for the next stunt.

Laurann and Keith must do the challenge first.  Laurann collects seven flags, so Keith has seven chances to hit the target.  Keith manages to get two bean bags inside the target.

Misty and Zak collect eight bean bags, but don’t get any on the target.  Misty blames the fact that she had glass in her goggles.

Dorothy does her best and collects only four flags.  Troy throws the four bean bags, but none of them hit the target. Keith and Laurann are the winners of the money.

Stunt #4

It’s bull – bull testicles that is.  One team member will be strapped to a blade as it spins and splashes in the water.  The other person will be bobbing for testicles and passing it to the person on the blade.  The person will then need to spit out the bull testicle into the “bull  receptacle.”  The team that collects the most testicles wins.

Troy is on the blade, while Dorothy is passing him testicles.  With only four testicles in the bin, the team is frustrated.  Troy actually spits at his partner, which is quite immature and disrespectful.  Not to mention gross, since he just had bull testicles in his mouth!

Zak and Misty are next up to the bull testicles.  Misty declares, “I’m putting my face in the testicles.”  The duo is able to pull off five bull testicles in the bin.  Misty is thrilled with the win, but even happier to wipe off the bull testicle parts from her mouth.

Laurann and Keith are last to go and must get at least five in the bin to stay in the game.  This team easily gets the five they need, but doesn’t stop there.  This team dominates the competition with 11 testicles in the bin, therefore sending the marines home.

Stunt #5

The Fear Factor truck, handcuffs and a race car are all involved in the final challenge.

Keith and Laurann are up first.  Keith has to unlock Laurann from a steering wheel.  Once unlocked the couple then takes the steering wheel to the race car.  The couple drives through an obstacle course, while one is steering and the other is using the pedals.  The team finishes with a time of 2:19.

The Craig’s list couple is ready to take home the money.  Misty is handcuffed to the truck and Zak quickly unlocks her.  In the car, Zak is steering and Misty is working the pedals.  In the end, the Craig’s list couple does take home the $100,000 with a time of 2:14.

I was disgusted at tonight’s show, seeing those Marines act as they did. It makes the whole corps look bad and I hope they are dealt with accordingly when they get back to their parent command. They disgraced the Marine Corps tonight and I am ashamed to be associated with them.

I loved seeing last night’s show. Dorothy sure popped off a lot at the other contestants! She got so out of hand at one point that Joe had to step between her and another team. But she couldn’t back up her trash talking in the fourth stunt and she was blaming her Marine partner although he did spit in her face. I was surprised when Keith and Laurann didn’t win in the final and happy for Misty and Zak.

Its such as you learn my thoughts! You appear to grasp so much about this, like you wrote the guide in it or something. I think that you can do with some p.c. to drive the message home a little bit, however instead of that, this is wonderful blog. A fantastic read. I’ll definitely be back.
