Whitney Houston’s funeral is a private event being held Saturday in Newark, New Jersey. Will Whitney Houston’s ex-husband, Bobby Brown, receive an invitation? Keep reading to find out if the Being Bobby Brown star will be able to support his daughter at the funeral.
Whitney Houston’s body was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton hotel this past Saturday. The tragic death has shocked the world and Whitney’s family. Bobbi Kristina, Whitney’s daughter, had to be hospitalized for stress and anxiety because she is so distraught over losing her mother. Bobby Brown, the Bravo reality star, flew to LA to support his daughter. However, rumors are flying that Whitney’s family doesn’t want Bobby Brown at the funeral.
The private funeral plans are in the works and it’s being questioned if Bobby Brown will be attending. A source told TMZ that Bobby Brown is “extremely disappointed” after hearing that members of the Houston family don’t want him to attend his ex-wife’s funeral. However, today ABC News is reporting that a source close to Bobby Brown has confirmed that Bobby was in fact invited to the funeral.
Bobby Brown’s main role right now is to support his and Whitney’s daughter. In a statement Bobby Brown asked the public to allow Bobbi Kristina to mourn in private. Bobby Brown wrote, “She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye.”
