Top Chef Texas Recap: Fire And Ice

And then there were three! On tonight’s episode of Top Chef: Texas, the final three contending chefs have sharpened their knives and are bringing their best culinary skills to the table. Asian Masters help out in a tag-team-style Quickfire on the Bravo reality TV competition. Keep reading to find out which chefs earn a coveted spot in the finale.

The three last-standing chefs include: Sarah Grueneberg, Lindsay Autry and Paul Qui. They’re all vying for a feature in Food & Wine magazine, a showcase at the Aspen Food and Wine Classic, $125,000 and the title of ‘Top Chef.’

Tonight the chef’s are in Canada where they find out their Quickfire challenge is to create Asian inspired dishes. Host Padma Lakshmi and judge Emeril Lagasse tell the chefs that the winner will receive $20,000. For this Quickfire challenge, the chefs will work in teams with three Top Chef Masters while rotating in the kitchen for 10-minute shifts. Sarah Grueneberg is selected as the Quickfire winner.


For the Elimination challenge in Vancouver the three chefs need to each prepare an entree and cocktail for a Fire and Ice party. At the cocktail party head judge and Chef Tom Colicchio, along with Emeril Lagasse, Gail Simmons and Padma Lakshmi; taste each dish the chefs prepared with their cocktail.

During the judges table head Chef Tom Colicchio, Emeril Lagasse, Gail Simmons and Padma Lakshmi select Paul Qui as the winner! Next, the judges have to tell one chef that it’s time to pack up their knives. The judges decided to eliminate Lindsay Autry.
