Dia Frampton performed an awesome rendition of his song, “Heartless,” in season one, and Cee Lo Green has dropped his name more times than we can count (did he mention they were friends?), but which star of The Voice wants to see Kanye West manning one of the NBC show’s trademark chairs in the near future?
Cee Lo Green may be one of his boys, but it’s Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine who wants award-winning rapper and hip hip producer Kanye West to join The Voice‘s short roster of A-list coaches.
Why? He has his reasons….
“I would love to see — just because he’s such a firecracker — like Kanye [West] do a show like that because he’d be so — I’m sure that terrifies NBC — but that would be fun,” Levine tells Anderson Cooper during Monday’s (February 27) episode of Anderson. “I love Kanye, I love what he does.”
“You wouldn’t be afraid he’d grab the mic from you?” Cooper quips, referring to West’s infamous 2009 MTV Video Music Awards run-in with Taylor Swift.
“We’d all be afraid all the time, that’s the beauty of it,” Adam replies.
