When it comes to creativity in movies, Tim Burton is definitely a master. That’s why Face Off is brilliantly focusing on the famed director for the upcoming challenge on this week’s episode. The remaining six contestants who survived last week’s double elimination will have to create a character that’s worthy of a Tim Burton movie. Who is the guest judge and what else can you expect from the episode? Read on to find out and to watch a clip from the upcoming show!
This week, Catherine O’Hara is welcomed to the judge’s panel to help critique each creation. She is definitely a great person to have as a judge in this round because Catherine has personal experience with Tim Burton in several movies. Back in 1993 she was the voice of Sally in one of my personal favorites, “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” In 1988 she portrayed Delia Dietz in Burton’s “Beetlejuice.” Most recently, she’s lending her voice as Susan Frankenstien in Burton’s upcoming animated film, “Frankenweenie.” For those of you who aren’t fans of Tim Burton’s films (I don’t see how that’s possible), Catherine is also known for playing the mother in the first two “Home Alone” movies.
As far as drama, there’s definitely going to be some. Ian, who struggled with his confidence in the alien he created last week — which the judges selected as the best makeup — finds himself in a bit of a pickle. SyFy says Ian notices that Sue had the same idea when it came to designing their Burtonesque characters. Will Ian change his mind and come up with something new or will he stick to his guns and go with his initial idea?
It all goes down on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. EST.
Which of the remaining six contestants do you think will fare the best with the Tim Burton challenge? Who do you think has what it takes to win the entire competition? Who do you hope is eliminated next? Sound off and leave a comment below!
