Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Marlo Hampton Remorseful Over Use Of Gay Slur

February 28, 2012 08:00 AM by Shayla Perry

The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s trip to Africa was a lot of things, but boring definitely wasn’t one of them! The drama all started when a fight broke out between co-stars Marlo Hampton and Sheree Whitfield, and now, the new addition to the cast of the Bravo reality show is eating her words; disappointed for her use of a gay slur in the heat of the moment. What did Marlo have to say? Keep reading to find out.

“I hate that that happened,” Hampton tells The Hollywood Reporter of her spat with Housewives co-star Sheree Whitfield in Africa.

“I guess the part that blew me was when she was like, ‘Oh don’t go there, you’re dating an 80-year-old white man.’ I just lost it,” Marlo explains.

Hmmm…. Sore subject?

As for her use of the f-word during the argument (as Kandi Burruss said, “it rhymes with maggot”),  Marlo, whose sister and assistant are both gay, says that she feels bad about her faux pas.

“It really did hurt me, and I did apologize, my friends love me and they know I was just talking, and I’m just trying to build that relationship back with the gay community, because, I mean that was awful, I really feel bad about that.”

none of these women are ‘wives’. most earn their money by being escorts. some trap (have trapped) high wealth earners with babies and lawsuits and such. what a terrible influence this is on young girls, both white, black and hispanic alike. there is a qualified attorney and recording artist on the show who earn their moolah the way we all should (hard work), but the rest? hmmm. and its my understanding that nene has a good hubby and has kicked him to the curb because of this show and the little money she is making. i hope the judge gives it all to him!
