The Voice Begins Battle Rounds Next Week

This week on NBC‘s The Voice, fans watched as the blind auditions came to a close, which only means one thing: the battle rounds begin next week! What will happen when the teams go head-to-head? Read on for a rundown and a sneak peek!


This week on The Voice, the blind auditions came to a close, and next week will start the battle rounds. In case you have forgotten how they work, here is a rundown for you:

Over a four week period, each team will be reduced from 12 contestants to six as the coaches will pit them against each other in duet battles. To prepare for the battle rounds, the contestants will work with their coach and a celebrity advisers, which include: Lionel Richie, Kelly Clarkson, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Jewel, Miranda Lambert, Alanis Morissette, Ne-Yo, or Robin Thicke.

Once the duos have performed, each coach will then choose which contestants will be moving on to the live rounds, where the viewers get to have their say! The live rounds of The Voice kick off on April 2, 2012. Check out a sneak peek of the battle rounds, courtesy of NBC below.
