Justin Bieber‘s not the only one in his family with the writing bug. The pop superstar and upcoming host of MTV‘s Punk’d reboot is releasing his second book later this year, but it looks like JBiebs is going to have a little friendly competition in the book stores — his mom. Find out all the details on Pattie Mallette‘s book deal after the jump.
According to Access Hollywood, Justin Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, has just inked herself a book deal.
Revell Books confirms that the pop superstar’s mom has agreed to pen a memoir entitled, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom.
But what will the book be about…aside from the obvious?
In a statement released by the publisher on Tuesday (March 7), it was announced that Mallette’s book, written in collaboration with A.J. Gregory, will share details of the trauma, abuse, and addiction she dealt with as a child and into her young adult years, leading to a suicide attempt at age 17; a year before she gave birth to her son.
Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom is scheduled for release on September 18, 2012; the same month that Justin’s book, Justin Bieber: Just Getting Started, will hit stores.
Punk’d premieres Thursday, March 29 at 10|9c on MTV.
