Kendra Wilkinson Offers Advice To New Dancing With The Stars Cast

March 08, 2012 02:00 PM by Veronica Dudo

Kendra Wilkinson has starred in two E! Network reality TV series, The Girls Next Door and Kendra. The 26-year-old mom also competed on last season’s Dancing with the Stars on ABC. Wilkinson recently hosted a party at the Pool After Dark in Atlantic City where she shared her exercise routine, favorite healthy dish, and offered the new cast of Dancing with the Stars a little advice!

Wilkinson is married to NFL player Hank Baskett and the couple has a two-year-old son, Hank Jr. who keeps Wilkinson very busy. While¬†they would like to have more children, she’s says she is enjoying a little freedom right now.

“I’m enjoying my alcohol a little too much now,” she said laughing, “No–we’re very balanced out right now so we would love to have another baby but maybe not just now.”

It was around this time last year, when she began practicing for season 12 of Dancing with the Stars on ABC. Looking back on her time in the competition, she has some advice for the new cast.

“Make the best of it! My biggest pet peeve when I was on there was when people said, ‘just have fun’ that is the worst advice you can give anybody on that damn show because everybody is like whatever because that’s all you hear. You’re completely numb to hearing that, ‘just have fun’ you’re like, ‘shut up’ so I guess my advice would to be to just make the best of it,” she said laughing.

The reality star says exercising is more than just a daily routine, it’s a way of life. “I love working out, I love being active; I play every sport in the book and I just try to have fun with my workouts,” she explained.

Her goal to lead a healthy lifestyle carries over into the kitchen. Wilkinson says she tries to eat small, healthy portions throughout the day.

“I’m a grazing–I don’t eat meals, I graze. Lately I learned how to cook brussel sprouts and stuff like that so we’ve learned how to cook really good brussel sprouts so we’ve been eating a lot of those having a lot of good salads,” she reveals, “if you know how to make things taste good, you can eat healthy and feel good.”
